I'm pretty sure the queen couldn't produce any more heirs after Rapunzel, and the king loves his wife so he isn't exactly going to marry someone else, he might not even be able to marry anyone else. Also,
I love how the story portrays Gothel keeping the healing flower hidden from everyone as a selfish and evil thing to do, but the Queen eating/drinking the whole damn flower is perfectly fine. Like, girl, I know you’re dying, but you couldn’t have just eaten a petal or something? You really had to consume the whole damn flower? I guess the sick and dying peasants of the world don’t matter. They aren’t royalty.
1. the flower isn't a sentient human being 2. one flower doesn't have enough power to help everyone. how do you know that cutting off petals will work? when you cut rapunzel's hair it loses its power, why should the flower petals be different? 3. of course the queen comes before peasants, peasants don't run the country. dumbass
Mother gothel took it to stay young forever the king didn't know whether to take a petal or the whole thing, it wasn't the queen's fault. Then rapunzel was born and she's now enchanted by the flower so mother gothel literally kidnapped her to stay young forever 💀
It's not that they don't care about the kingdom, it's that the Queen was dying and (based on if my memory serves me right) didn't know that the flower would actually heal the queen or how much of the flower to even use
@@animationexplanations532 I guess the joke's from the stereotype that people with 'unusual' names like 'rapunzel' also have 'unusual' pronouns like xe/xem
The tower has a door. Gothel blocked it with rocks once Rapunzel's hair was long enough to climb. She literally climbs up through the tower in the movie after Rapunzel is gone.
Followed by double standards, when she goes outside! But fr, she Gatekeep, Girlboss, Gaslit (not to mention siphoning off da flower power) Rapunzel into believing gothel was invincible
1:29 you'd actually be surprised how strong hair is. She's got more risk of it falling out from its own weight than it being cut by the pulley. The film theorists actually did a video on this, I'm pretty sure
I think Mother Gothel used her same birthday because if she used a different one she would forget all the time. And since the lanterns came out each year on the princesses birthday it just made it more easier for her lol
The best representation of what would happen if someone would have Rapunzel's hair length will always be in the movie "The 10th Kingdom". Also as much as I love "Tangled" they stole from the "Barbie as Rapunzel" movie.
True. Purple/pink dress, Rapunzel is a painter, she’s secretly a princess stolen from a royal family, the kidnapper is named “Gothel”, etc. I’m pretty sure none of that was in the original story. I don’t remember any mention of Rapunzel being a painter in the original, and Rapunzel’s birth parents were farmers/peasants, and I don’t think the witch had a name.
i have recently gotten really obsessed with tangled the series, and for some reason it just starts appearing everywhere, of course yes i do watch a lot of it and it would make it recommend more but i only watch the series and yt recommends the movie
3:23 guessing by your pronounciation, you probably made a subtitle mistake and were meant to write "Kiel" which is a large port city in Schlieswig-Holstein in Northern Germany
