On 1st June I had a meeting in Carnforth so had to fit in recording The Cumbrian Coast Express around this.
Fortunately Tangmere and its support loco headed to Carlisle quite early so I filmed it approaching Tebay. It was scheduled to stop there but didn't.
At Carnforth Station I caught the Cumbrian Coast Express behind Class 86 Les Ross / Peter Pan heading to Carlisle.
After my meeting I had plenty of time to get to Arnside to see Tangmere and the Cumbrian Coast Express at speed skirting the River Kent Estuary on Morecambe Bay. Hard to pan and keep steady with the loco but I think it works.
Finally at Hest Bank I caught Les Ross returning the Cumbrian Coast Express to London.
A few other trains were caught as well.
On 2nd June we had the surprise of The Belmond British Pullman train running empty (though apparently with its on-board crew) to E G Steele at Hamilton. After laying over overnight, it will proceed the following day to Edinburgh, work and excursion to Gleneagles with the trAin running empty back to Stewart's Lane
