@@JAYTHEARTIST2004 not true, yoriichi only created one breathing style and that was sun breathing, he eventually taught the other demon slayers the breathing style but they were not fit for it so the others created derivatives that suited their body, i suggest you reread the manga again!

That's actually not true. Sun breathing is a separate technique and doesn't comprise of the others. Yoriichi didnt actually create the fighting style, just the technique of breathing (total concentration). He adapted total concentration to fit their fighting styles (flame, wind, water...) Anyone can learn any technique, just not master it. Tanjiro can't master water or thunder.

Tanjiro's sun breathing isn't as strong as sun breathing Hinokami Kagura is closest to Sun breathing which is almost perfection

yea, that's why he is able to use all the other breathings cause sun makes his body much stronger making him able to use any and all breathing styles.

Still even if other breathings were just a mere copy of Sun breathing, other breathings still have their own specialties and uniqueness that is different from sun breathing since hashiras who developed these breathing adjusted their techniques according to their own unique abilities and body capabilities since their bodies could not achieve/capable to use Sun breathing.

@@Anukinihun my point was even if other breathing was a failed imitation of sun breathing its not literally a duplicate of sun breathing. Since other breathing is created with the intent of recreating sun breathing however was not able to do so, then it means hashiras back then were forced to create new breathings but using the basic principles and conditions of sun breathing. Sun breathing is just the basis, other breathings did not literally came from Sun breathing but from its mechanics of how Sun breathing works. Then as I interpreted, other breathing are a whole new concept and technique which differs from the origin but with uses the same mechanics which all came from using breathing and swordsmanship. Because if every breathing is a copy of sun then it doesn't make sense with insect, stone, serpent, and sound breathing as these breathing uses different variety of weapon which was not in any forms of the sun even in common elements breathing there might be some similarities with the sun but still it had its own identity which cannot be seen in any forms of the sun. I do think that if Yorichi did not introduce how to use breathing and how to apply it with their swordsmanship then other breathings would not exist. Because for sure hashiras back then were swordsman themselves they had their own sword technique that is different from the style and movements of Yorichi's however they couldn't kill demons without the use of breathing and nichirin blade. Hope my explanation was clear but still this just my interpretation and opinion :) I do agree that Tanjiro did not copy lightning breathing however lightning 1st form and one of sun's form had the same principle which utilizing and focusing your strength in your lower body but still they are different since lightning focuses on speed in a higher level.

That's one of the great things of Demon Slayer. The protagonist can't win these battles alone, and would never have the strength to fight them alone, but neither the Hashiras would come close to win them without Tanjirou and the people around him. Even a single Uzui's wife or a blacksmith at the right place at the right time had to be there in order for them to win.
