Not with a worn breech and barrel . The risk is very present and very very permanent to crews in the confined turret . Frequently, with used pieces like this , the practice is to half or quarter load the shell. And fill empty cavity with cream of wheat as its crap. It saves the shell from fatigue, and stretching as well as slowing micro fracturing the barrel and breech . Eventually everything breaks .

@@Ri72e I think there'd be not much hammer left. It's just lead on the inside of the hammer right? Lead is an extremely soft metal. Once that tank shell gets through that relatively thin layer of steel, it is probably going to liquefy that that lead interior and splatter it everywhere. That being said, I'd very much like to see that happen. No offense to the hammer, I love it. But what a way to go out!

You guys are my local heroes in yr 4 I had an excursion to the Jin Jin tower cause of the gravitational waves and got in trouble for digging the sand looking for left over stuff from your vids
