@chivas0231 thats why all vehicles carrying bulk bandrous goods are required by law to dispay placards with the load so in an emergecy firecrews can simply look at the codes and take the necessary precautions
total no0b here, but what is the purpose of leaving half of the turrets shooting water from the far end some 6 lanes to the right and divided by trees?
:41 that fire truck on the far right has some amazing reach with the wind helping him like that! But shouldn't they be using foam to suffocate the fire? Water isn't very effective in quenching a liquid-fuelled fire.
@lukebrockf120 Michigan State Police its a decades long tradition with the single light on top and a lighted sign on the hood . the blue paint on the cars is exclusive to MSP and no one but them can buy a car that color of blue .
Dang, for stuff like this there really oughtta be water-tank-spray-drones; an LPG tank on fire is just too risky for personnel to approach, OTOH they have to try to quell it for the sake of surrounding area.
8400 gallons of gas equal to 80 .000 pounds, trucks won't stop, please do not cut us in or slams your brakes without even look back. and we run at 65 miles per hour responsible company has their trucks set up to that speed limit of 65 miles, 99 % of roll overs are accidents cause by others drivers most time they walkaway and we don't.
LOL, Did someone actually say that? Of course, it must be much safer for a tanker to explode on a congested, small road with pedestrians everywhere than on a wide, open freeway. :|
No one was killed. A 27-year old driver ran into the tanker after losing control of his vehicle on the curve right before the overpass. This caused the tanker to hit a Meijer produce truck then explode. All three drivers only suffered minor injuries.
@salothere Bud, please, 99% is a bit high to point the blame. Lot of truckers are responsible for their own fate. Although 4 wheelers do play a big role.
i lived only 2 miles away when that happen. i remember hearing the explosion and i was like what the f#ck was that then i seen the smoke and the helicopter.
@tzebra Well, sticking up for the"four wheelers" Truckers a lot of them go too dam fast! I was doing 75 MPH once and a truck "16 wheeler" past me I could not believe it. and the max speed for a truck is 65MPH (In MI). (Still to fast in my view) So let's say, Not try to get where you are going so dam fast to make that little extra cash."Truckers need to be more responsible since they are driving the bigger weapon and have more blind spots. I know people do drive stupidly, but it goes both ways.
