How to win RB ground battles 1 set low graphic settings, if you dont like what you see, tough luck, enemies use that all the time 2 play russian, if tank is not enough OP for you, planes are way too OP to over compensate. 3 dont hide your SPAA in shadow of the trees, as mentioned in rule 1, there are no shadows in war thunder
+Dmitri Patronov OK then, you tell me what should have done yesterday when my 1944 Tiger 2 met a 1967 T10 (that's when the T10 got it's APDS & HEAT ammo) ? if you're not good at maths that's 23 years apart, that's how much time passed from the end of WW 1 to the rolling out of the Tiger 1. Now imagine a ww1 tank vs a Tiger, yea, that's about it
+gerlok wolkenbrutzler If I could get a handle on sim aircraft, I definately prefer the tank to tank warfare in sim. I just don't do it much because it takes a while to learn the aircraft part.
No matter what game style I play, no matter what tactic I use I always get killed out of the blue with no drags for myself, either I go slow or rush in, search every inch of the map or just run in I always die , this is violently frustrating
Realistic I can play its just that I cant see the enemy then I alwas get killed so yea I spawn I cant see enemy and get killed again and again #Blind XD
how to go training RB without going against real players : 1. (if you have tier 2) select a tank that lower tiers can't penetrate any of its sides (except for the back, i guess). 2. start a custom battle (create session) 3. choose the difficulty to realistic battles, then choose to include AI vehicles (Bots) and select AI level to tier 1 4. include a password (i don't recommend you to make the game/session available for everyone, since someone with higher tiers can come to your game) 5. start the battle 6. now train yourself to be a realistic tanker, after you are ready, then you can go RB with Players
You missed 2 points about AA vehicles. 1. most of them (with like 3 exceptions) CAN effectivly engage enemy tanks. Some from the side, others even fro mthe front (surisingly a Wirbelwin CAN in fact kill a T 34 from the front when usign hvap ammo even past 100 meters when imed at the turret) 2. They are VERY cheap to spawn compared to any other vehicles and have their own cathegory, so spawnign in tnaks doesnt increase their cost. Both points make both SPAAS excelent backup vehicles. I see way too many people not bothering with them, often leading to half the team quiting after 1 death. Also a specific tutorial for SPAA for RB and SB woudl be great. I see many people who dont realy have a clue about positioning, aiming or ammo selection. Whenever i fly along and see an ostwind lobing an endless stream f armor piercing shells at me from several kilometers away i just feel a bit sad.
+LordDarthHarry It does seem like an interesting tactic that I have been seeing more often. However, I find that unless you are in a dueling situation with only one enemy tank, and generally at close range, it doesn't work very well. You are easily killed at long range, and while you might be able to damage the enemy, you generally won't kill them. Also, if there is more than one enemy tank in the area, you are dead regardless of how many allies are nearby. Doable, and I have seen it done. Definitely some powerful tradeoffs, though.
Awsome Kevin the dispersion should be 0.7 and not 1.0 but you can manage to do damage and survive 5.7, 6.7 is just to outclassed and obsolete compared to 7.7, as it should be and as it really was.
Ok tbh you guys should make a new mode specific for mixed battles which includes tanks planes and ships (but have limited maps) and doesnt require respawn points I guess
I cant play realistic mode because every time I see a tank its always like 1800 metres away. And if I try to get close some m4 just one taps me and when i try to hit them it's like hitting a building
Sim tank battles is almost dead. And now realistic is dying to. One reason is the cheaters that play on low graphic setting which is a big advantage. Also there is a lot of spawn camping. War thunder refuses to do anything about it. So realistic will die just like sim tank is.

try to play with a German tank with BR 6.7 and try to kill the T 10 ,IS 4 ,IS 3 and the T 54 line you really break the game at high tiers please fix it
Screw Realistic battles. I wanted to play War Thunder for simulator battles but just as I started, you removed it and put it as a crappy event mode. It's a plane's life only for me.

-conquest mode (1 point in the middle neutral) -choose a fast AA vehicle at start -rush to capture -leave vehicle/die fast -fly your beloved plane at an early stage lovely
+TredBobek M18s usually get there first though, even before the aa vehicles. T34s depends quite a bit on the tier, but for some reason one model is capable of beating M18s to the capture point. However, taking a fast tank to the cap and then taking a plane is a fun tactic.
Well luckily people don't rush to the flag, they usually go for their camping places. And the US AA vehicles are quite fast (the one with 4 .50 cals of course, the next one with a cannon is slow because of the armor and a gun)
TredBobek I see.yeah, personally I tend to rush as well. Though in my M18, rather than the aa guns. They are indeed fast, but I am pretty sure the M18 is faster.
How do I identify friend and foe? Just played it once so far. I shot a few tanks and suddenly I exploded as soon as I shot another tank. Despite having 1 vehicle left, I was kicked out without any message, but the mission continued for the others. Was this the penalty for friendly fire?
the only reason to play arcade is to painfully endure to unblock thanks, and you ruined completely that already disgusting task by making 6.7 obsolete. stop being proud and listen to your fucking clients
Wow grasz off! :D Correct this game - BR,balance,alternative history (geramn tanks are shit) ,only russian tanks is good,invisible tanks,possibility set ultra low quality on good computers, RNG , funny rocoshets, insane shoting 4,5x in side vehicle and no die,and many things in this game. Maybe somebody to come back
wut? E-sports on war thunder? just doesn't make sense, because its mostly rely on you firing the first round and luck. I've played realistic and sim battles all the time and if you fire first and hit you're most likely to win, plus you can kill a tank with 1 hit which is not really fun to watch.

Can anyone tell me in which episode they have covered the tutorial of rangefinding?I can't seem to find it myself.And how do u reload if ur tank happens to run out of ammunition?I know sometimes u can reload by pressing U after the process of repair,but how do one reload without the need of repairing the tank?
When you kill someone he can see where you are and what you are doing in the "kill cam" and inform the rest of enemie team, what is the realistic about this -its a huge problem. +Neacsiu Demostene (dEMMosTEnE) lol,nop...u can kill any tank with is2...lol! but u cant play is2 like a full heavy tank because his paper armor,so... U can kill jagtigers with an IS2,tiger 2 just shooting so close or sides :) Just play more your IS2,learn and thats all ;)
