@@sushmithagowda3185 in real it's a treat to watch in Tulu..even i hv watched it kannada ..but watching in Tulu is devine..aa daiv in real speaks in Tulu only
Best thing is about rishab sir is that he didn't translate the Daiva's dialogue in other languages as a way to pay homage to the god and not hurt the exclusivity of their folk traditions !
I really wish you guys could understand Kannada because, it makes a huge difference when you watch the original one. It seemed a bit off in Hindi in the beginning. Anyway happy to see you reacting to it Also, Tanmay it’s pronounced as KAAntara not kantara which basically means Forest.
There are great movies made in so many languages which on dubbing loses some of its shine ....but we can learn only so many languages...but emotions and body language if genuine are universal...everyone can understand that....which is what kaantara has in throughout
@@ucantseeme7477 I agree. I understand we have limited lingual abilities and exposure too. I feel I wouldn’t have been able to enjoy and appreciate the movie as much as I did if I weren’t a kannadati especially if I weren’t familiar with coastal Kannada dialects. So All I meant to say was if only they could understand the expressions (which cannot obviously be delivered by the translator) behind the dialogues they could have enjoyed the movie better!
I agree.....It's easy to covey emotions in our own language which makes more impact......and you can also hear to original voice of actors......all this factors adds more experience of cinema
Watch in Kannada and read the English subtitles….worth the effort ..u will feel the nativity and the power of the script in its original form as it was meant to be …
@@egandhivijay this was not our regular Kannada , it was Kundapur Kannada , being a pakka Kannadiga we could understand 60-70%, as it was slightly different from the main stream language.
I really wish that I would watch it in kannada. I dont understand kannada. but I truly believe this movie will have deeper effect in kannada. Just like when i feel watching a good marathi movie being a marathi. Translation does not convey the feeling and emotions fully
@@rao433 i went to the theaters to get the theatrical experience, that means at least half theater full, but mushkil se 10 log the jinme 2 me or mera dost, so that is no different than watching it at home home with cheaper snacks my own bed and my laptop
@@hemantsuthar5885 I go to the cinemas just to watch movies on the big screen and couldn't care less about the rest of the people in the auditorium. I hope you do too in the future!
@@raghavkaushik9985 that's not the only thing for which i would want to go to theater, I want a theater full of people, or almost, so the collective watching is what makes the experience better not just the big screen. an empty theater is the worst, just kills the experience as no hooting is happening the total energy is low, tum akele bhi kitini taliyan baja loge. a houseful theater makes the movie expreience much better like i remember watching bhramastra in theater and it was full even though the movie has flaws but the crowd enjoyed the movie to the fullest by hooting and the whistles
this is one gem of a movie. there is no need for a Hindi DUB for it. Dubbing the movie makes it more different then it actually feels while watching it in kannada. the dialogue tone and the whole spectrum of this whole universe just gets different when you watch it in a different language. still KANTARA is one of the few best movies of this year produced in india.
I was thinking kiya movie hai because of internet sensation, but when the god vibe kicked in literally meri phat gai, And I started googling who are demigod Panjurli and Guliga, And the dialogue which made me watch the whole movie was" If you break the Oath Panjurli may forgive you, but Guliga won't"...and boom the climax goosebumps man goosebumps...
@adityavasishta7934 those people who are calling tanmay as kannadiga. kannada dont need any recognition from these poor fellows like tanmay. people whose mother tongue is kannada are called kannadigas not everyone randomly.dont emberass real kannadigas..its privilage to become kannadiga.not everyone has that luck and quality.
Deyvam in kannada and any south indian language translates to "God". Why is netflix showing it as demigod ? I am from kerala and we also got such a tradition, with the god muthappan, a version of shiva. We call him god only, not demi god.? Its offensive..
It will be interesting to see how Original Bhoota Kola Artists and followers respond and get affected by the film and also what influence/effect the film leaves on their art.. Shetty seems so genuine but after all said and done what he has made is a commercial film I have watched it several times and feel enthralled every time with same intensity. Kudos to Shetty and his team! 😊👌
This is what I call, a lazy review, if not very biased against the movie. It is clear that You did not spend enough time watching or analyzing this. You have taken it too lightly. Except for compelling statement about the climax and a few sound bites the music, you had nothing to say about the movie. This looked like 'oh, let us finish this one more task to complete'. At least you could have seen the reviews by others if you were so hardpressed for time or you should have avoided reviewing it.
Although I find many issues with the script, the climax was so amazing that I am glad I watched it in the theatres when people didn't know about the movie yet.
I expected more Scene of the demi god and in climax i wanted that the demi god should've shown his power. (not fight with fist like an avg. south indian hero)
@@desi.hip-hop.clips_ Divas are spirits...forms of energy. They do not do magic. The point was to show how the demigod deemed Shiva worthy enough to enter his body and infuse life. He was dead otherwise. Also the fact that he was able to fight the goons with his bare fists shows the power the demigod gave him. Kantara is actually a story of the people who exist in harmony with nature, and not about demigods. I am hoping they will make a movie exclusively about the myths and folklore of Karnataka Bhoota Kola .
Kantara is good in kannada language.. When it is dubbed in different language, it looses it's originality or authenticity.. In other languages, it won't be able to convey and make you feel, what we felt while watching in Kannada..
It's Netflix India, not Netflix Hindi Just be a little accommodative and inclusive by knowing that not everyone in India can speak and understand Hindi
No No NOOOOOO! Remember what Bong Joon-Ho said? "Once you overcome the one-inch tall barrier of subtitles, you will be introduced to so many more amazing films." Watch this current day masterpiece in Kannada and pay attention to the subtitles. They won't distract much since it's all very visceral....
Bhai ...no need of your idiotic sarcasm on every scene. Play some respect, although reacting to some video without doing some research on the topic. Heh Heh Heh on every scene won't justify the hard working of talent behind that.
From when you bastards became judges of movies , who didn't have a bit of experience in Bollywood. Kuch bhi chal raha hai duniya mein.. god bless everybody
The emergence(entry would be such a petty word , hence) of demigod 'Guliga' is literally an eye-opener... Make sure to keep a track of your eye brows for they are sure to be 😳raised until the credits start rolling! Last this happened with me was while watching Aparichit's interrogation room scene, Magadheeras' 1 vs 100 fight scene and RRR's 'wild' card party crashing scene!
Tanmay is a kannadiga. It was surprising that he didn't understand the daiva's dialogues without subtitles on his own Edit: please don't get confused between kannada and tulu. In this clip what the daiva is speaking is completely in kannada
It will create some confusion among the north people while watching the movie like 'why maternal uncle & mother was mentioned but not father & mother?' Only persons who learnt the folklore stories of the particular region will know the reason.
@@Tweetsoftheweek because Kerala and Karnataka have similar in culture both music was made to represent and for the culture just like culture have similarities musicals have similarities not copied even court also dismissed it
@@Tweetsoftheweek Sorry Ignorant this the real culture of Tulu Nad which is still celebrated in the same manner since ancient times. Stop spamming the same comment everywhere this shows your insecurity!!!
Please try and watch it in Kannada. I am a Bengali, don't understand a word of Kannada but it was marvelous in the original version. Rishab Shetty is outstanding... 🔥🔥🔥
Netflix team why you want this jokers who insult people in all videos and u call them and want to review this masterpiece and true divine movie....did these two people about what is this movie all about at all??? They just sit and talking rubbish about story and act 😡
Honestly i don’t prefer to watch South Indian movies dubbed. The original actors put so much effort and commitment into projecting their voice. Watch with subtitles
Youth icon is not impressed by the movie. He is being indifferently cautious. Most likely as a liberal woke Tanmay has his constituency and loyalties to protect. We understand. Pathan is coming for you. Enjoy.
Kantara is people cinema. One of the main reason kantara got noticed because of the word of mouth created by smaller youtube channels who fought for kantara, begged to people to watch coz kantara marketing budget was not big enough to hire big critics, bigger channels. The same reason the hype of kgf1 kept forward by smaller review ers who public trusts most these days as film companion like critics are paid. Before kgf 2 people wete waiting eagerly not by marketing like bahubali team but purely by word of mouth and before kfg 1 yash and his team were not so popular and their marketing budget obviously not lkke yrf or rajamouli. Rocky vai came in kgf 1 no big celebrity critics were praising only tthe honest smaller reviewer and general people spred its news being good, that made gd business for kgf 1 after that people waited eagerly but that also by not textbook marketing.only by rhe word of mouth. And one of the main reason even gd films in bollywood wong do well coz they thjnk people still goes to cjnema after watching them in kapils show
