I sit at the moment in shame. For all that God gave and showed me. I had anger, that started to inch towards hatred. It felt terrible. I let God down. I could not convince a best friend to be honest and it angered me. It harmed me. It was like telling a spigot to turn into a tap.

I empathize so strongly with this moment in your heart. You were moved by the toxicity of shame to step away from a personally destructive moment. I know you know that we can never absolutely trust every emotional opinion that comes over us. When we wrestle with this issue we are revisiting the teaching about the potential lethality of bringing “strange fire” to our hearts in judgment of our friend.

My experience as well pr now = treat people with respect and in most cases I get the same back from people.
