A 1988 Tanya Tucker Video. One of her best. Her father is in video and her current boy friend (at that time). He just took off one one day when it got too much.
i love his voice :-) 80's and 90's the Best time of Country Music , am from Mexico and despite i dont understand 100 % english I Love this Music Specially from 80;s and 90's .. George Strait , Alan Jackson , Dwight yoakam , randy Travis , Tanya Tucker , , Reba McEntire , Vince gill , Doug stone , Alabama , Diamond rio , etc etc etc
I saw her in concert July 4 1986 in Korea. One of the best concerts I saw. She stayed and signed autographs, talked to her fans, etc. Then went to the ville and walked into the Silver Star country bar. Told her MP guard to stay outside and partied with us and took pictures. Said she wanted to party with real country folks (which at this time we were all country boys and girls). She even bought several rounds for everyone. One Hell of a supporter of the troops
+Stevenson Stephen I remember, when country music exists. What they call country music today, is pop or rock. Except music from allison kraus, for example. She still let me dream from another, better time...
This is country music.....I have not purchased any country music since we turned the 21st century....I find no real artistry in today's country music. I will stick with Tanya, Keith Whitley, Judds, Restless Heart, Conway, Ricky Van Shelton, George Jones, Patty Loveless, Michael Montgomery, Waylon Jennings, Haggard, Kathy Mattea, Randy Travis, Travis Tritt, Terri Clark, Clint Black, Alan Jackson...etc.
How can you not love Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Rascal Flatts, Miranda Lambert, etc?? Don't get me wrong now, you named some great ones, but there are plenty great country artists out right now.
My friends says One of my favourite country band is Gun & Roses , iron maiden 😁😁 Great memories I ever have in my life is👉 holding stomach laughing n rolling on the ground n fart at last😁😁
I’ve always loved Tanya, ever since I was a small child and she was all over country radio. How have I never heard this song before? It’s so sweet and it reminds me of me and my man 🥰😍
Beautiful song, music and lady ... inside and out. Tanya has been one of my favorites since I first heard her sing Delta Dawn back in 1972. I believe she was 13 years old at the time. Her beautiful spirit has always shone through her eyes and smile ... and she makes the best kind of music ... straight from the heart.
Glad I grew up listening to people like her, Doug stone, Sammy kershaw, Alabama and the judds.. feel sorry for this generation that has to listen to Jason aldean and “jelly roll” smdh
Timeless song, message and performance. I hope she is living well. Her rise to stardom at the age of 12 and the way it was done is today complete child abuse. For her to have it "together" at all is a miracle.
Seen Tanya in concert back in September of 1989 in Fort Smith, Ark. One of the best shows I've ever attended. She spent time talking to and interacting with the audience. Very friendly, and a fantastic performance.
I LOVE YOU CHRISTINA MAE BUSH!!!! DONT WORRY ABBY I HAVE LIVED UP TO ALL THE PROMISES I MADE TO YOU AND YOUR MOM IN 2011.... IT WASNT EASY BUT IT IS FINISHED ,,..!!!
there were a few good country songs back then and this is one of them but u didn't get into County music ontil 2000 (I love Country music from 2000 thru today)
My Dad was in love with TT!!! :) This song now means alot to me now that he is gone!!!!! Reminds me of him when I hear it!! LOVE YA DAD!! MISS U MUCH!!
Singing Delta Dawn on the bus, paid my bus fare to the staten island ferry in NYC 16/17 years ago, when I went to the states as an au pair! What an adventure! Prompted by the driver, the passengers gave their change for me!
Every song I hear that Tnya sang reminds of my days growing up in my region of north Italy when I used to listen to the US radio at the US military base radio in Fiuli Venezia Giulia Italy
Tanya lived the life which many, but not all, dream of. Unbridled inhibitions yielding her tornadic life and created a dynamo of personal magnetism and talent. She was moving too fast to need a rear view mirror. She was spellbinding. That was why we loved her. Today, we watch her, hoping for glimpses and return of those electrifying days. We selfishly hope she is still "Tanya". Yet, what came effortlessly before, takes a little effort now. I am a fan and wish her the best.
This song is great, I'm just getting into Tanya Tucker's music and I'm loving it! Her voice is so unique and beautiful. She's one of the remaining few that does country music right.

I love this song-kind-of-balad and makes me feel happy;Tanya Tucker is fine, often good, sometimes very good but in this case great; from her album Soon (1993). The video is funny to see with the old fashionable country style
I am seeing Tanya live in Vegas the end of August FRONT ROW CENTER!! I am so excited, she is my idol and I want to get her to sign a vintage poster I hope! We'll see! I am going with my eight year old daughter, Sierra, and eighty eight year old mom, Edee!!
My dad played for Tanya in the late 80s/ early 90s, and I’m in this video, along with my older brother. I’m the kid in white shirt and shorts pointing at the tire swing @ 0:31, and my brother is the blonde haired kid running down the hill with the mandolin case @ 0:22. My dad is the mandolin player wearing the overalls @ 1:23.
I've grown so weary of being compared to what used to be. We ARE that's all! So many times have I heard people say You still look great. TRUST ME when I say thanks, BUT I have lived as I did! I'm Not that hottie that I WAS 20 years or so ago. But I am WISER! I am grateful that I have had the opportunity to LIVE! THAT'S ALL! LIVE ON TANYA!!! LIFE, It's a gift!
Thank you--my husband and I used to sing this together--we had been married 4 years when it came out, and loved that part of the lyrics. I miss him so much.
