I am confused about coming as a retiree. The Class C says you have to be retired in TZ for 6 yrs. How is that possible if you are trying to retire there?

You need to make it clear that you must gain a work permit 1st before you get a residency permit, unless you're going for a retired visa or religious related visa or volunteer status.

However, if you are transiting in a yellow fever endemic country for more than 12 hours then a yellow fever certificate maybe requested on arrival to Tanzania.
