Fyi the cable for your multi cooker can be switched to a local one, get one from your local za huo Dian or electrical shop for like a buck if two. They're called 'kettle cables' (C15 plugs if ya nerdy)

Life lesson learnt this year! Don’t put aside stuff you can do easily - we moved into a bto flat this year and the area is smaller compared to the old houses we used to live in, so I make sure I wash dishes frequently instead of having them pile up in the small kitchen sink! :)

Things might not go the way you have planned it, but what matters is how you react to it. Really holding this close to my heart because I am someone who likes to plan and have things go the way I planned, but of course it is not that case all the time. How we react matters because it definitely sets how feel, it might ruin our day or just let it roll along. I've just moved into my new home after much drama from a previous ID company but am just glad we moved in time before my husband flies off for 10 weeks work detachment. Really love watching your videos because it helps me to see how I can improve or add new stuff for my place! :)

Had a similar exp with our own reno so I totally feel you. Sometimes I'd feel so dejected, 'cos I did all I could to prevent the preventable mistakes; but yes- gotta learn to roll with it :) I missed a crucial timing, and am glad to hear that it wasn't the case for you! ichigo ichie 一期一会 🍵 I read bout this from the book ‘Ichigo Ichie’ and I think it has shaped how I view life from then. The idea of how every moment only happens once and how we can never get it back again, even if we go back to the same place with the same people doing the exact same thing. Simply because our state of minds are different at different points in time and circumstances are different. I think it really helps me to cherish what I’ve and what I experience in life. 🥰

How did you manage to make almond butter in a blender!? I tried it once in a brand new blender and no joke, it started overheating the motor so badly that it started spitting out plastic beads from god knows where. And that's the story of my $50 almond butter... (it wasn't even that smooth). My life lesson is to not gheykiang and make almond butter myself. Perhaps I'll have better luck with a multi cooker. HAHA

I broke the plastic gear bits of my old blender too when I was making peanut butter! 😂 For this, I pulsed the almond into fine flour first before blending. Had to do it intermittently (on/off) 'cos I was kinda overworking it. Not as smooth/easy as the Vitamix tutorials I binged /cri (Not gheykiang!! Never try never know 😉)

How u make almond butter? What is the receipe?

Roast almond nuts, leave them to cool and blend :) The nut oils will be released and they'll slowly turn into paste/butter! Same for peanut, cashew butters etc 😊

Hi. Is it difficult to wash the blender after making your own nut butter? I’ve been wanting to try making my own nut butter but is worried about the cleaning part as the blade cannot be removed.

It took longer than usual (vs smoothies) as the butter would get stuck in hard to reach areas like under the blade, bottle tracks etc and need to scrub them out if they can't be flushed out with water. I think it might be OK as long as you've a brush to reach those hidden areas :)
