He's actually following the timing on the guitar not the singer .. its almost like he's accompaning the guitar using his feet as an extra instrument ...
If you are criticizing this wonderful performance then you obviously don't have much tap experience. What he did took a lot of skill, practice and stamina. Sure to the untrained eye it looks like prancing around, but if you watch AND listen closely, you'll actually realize all the sounds he's making in a short amount of time. Bravo to this gentleman!
I guess making a lot of sounds in a short amount of time is something amazing... Never thought about that... Genius... Tap dancing in general looks ridiculous to me to be honest.
Most of these comments are people say how rubbish it was or how they think they can do better. Well, I have been doing tap dance ever since I could walk and I would love to be able to dance like him. It must of taken him years to get that good. I would love to see you all try and do better than him!
You must've copied and accidentally pasted this comment from another video. You said "most" comments were negative, WRONG! I have literally never seen a comment section filled with so much positivity, admiration and respect.
Okay, tap dancing is one of the only things (not to brag) that I know I'm good at, but MY GOD THIS MAN MAKES ME LOOK LIKE I JUST STARTED LEARNING! AND I'VE TAP DANCED SINCE I WAS 4!
I know this guy (Sasha) and he is a stunning tap dancer. He does moves so quickly and smoothly that you can't believe what you've just seen. He performed in Stockholm in front of a panel of the best tap dancers in the world, including the likes of Jason Samuels Smith, Michelle Dorrance and Chloe Arnold, and they were all blown away by his tap dancing skills. Go Sasha! You're amazing!!!
I've been trying to learn how to tap dance for a couple of weeks now, and I'm so insanely bad at it. But seeing amazing, talented people like this makes me not want to give up!
I don’t even know how to do tap dancing and mostly just watch this cause I like the sound of the shoes when tap dancers dance and I can say that for me this was so incredible! That move where he stood with just his single toe really got me.
Jodie Mercer its because of the floor... i know bc i was compiting there a few times and when you dance you have to be really loud bc otherwise you couldnt hear anything and there are microphones on the sides of the floor so the closer you are to them the louder tap dance is....
Woke Jimin bro why do I have to write this comment just enjoy the show. Plus no one is saying that it looks bad in the comments so stop trying to start something
Those who are criticizing might have a point, don't just blow it off because they are being critical. Try to actually see what they are trying to say, those of you who are blowing people off as "blind" or a "loser" should be more open-minded. I know it may come as a shock to you, but not everyone thinks the same way you do. You do not hold the standards of what is considered good or bad or talented or whatever.
Haters gonna hate and tappers are gonna smile and be inspired. If you are going to comment something negative, why comment at all? The man who designed the tap moves and steps for Mumble in Happy Feet (I can't think of his name at the moment) made me want to tap just like him. I believe I was three at the time. My mom enrolled me in a class about two years later and I have been tapping since. I have been tapping for almost 8 years straight. Tap is my life. Because of tap, I was drawn into Ballet, Pointe, and Musical Theatre as well. So, for all those new and/or experienced tappers reading this, I hope you have a great day and I hope you exceed in tap. My tap instructor has shaped almost an entire half of my persinapity and who I am. I doubt she will ever see this, but I want to thank her for everything.
As a tap dancer myself, I know that he is doing amazing at keeping the moves small and making many sounds at the same time. I've been tapping for about nine or ten years now and right now I'm better than my current teacher. Still not this good though, I hope to be someday. . .
MARCEL PENEUX the fastest and most atletic dancer in the world and example for every Tapdancer. Marcel Peneux Multi World Champion Tapdance and Showman Marcel Peneux Multi World Champion Tapdance and Showman - part 2
This looks incredible! I feel like I can’t fully appreciate the mastery of this video, since I have little tap experience, but it looks and sounds awesome.
amazing! go Ukraine! i imagine that it would be hard to find a good song for a tap dance..one that will showcase the tapping rather than covering it up. maybe i'm wrong. a lot of times i see a regular dance choreographed to a regular song where the dancers just happen to be wearing tap shoes, so it doesn't look like a real tap dance and it certainly doesn't highlight the amazing sound and skill of the dancers. but this was really cool. and clearly he's an expert in multiple styles of dance, not just tap.
I've competed in this competition. IDO World Tap Dance Championships in Riesa, Germany. I'm from Hamilton, ON, Canada and in 2008 I travelled with the Canadian Tap Team to Germany where we won the gold medal for our formation performance under Matthew Clark. I won the silver medal for my junior male solo performance with a piece called 'Watch My Feet'. I've seen the European style up close. It's highly impressive, but if you can't ID the moves he's doing you shouldn't be getting paid to teach.
