Thank you. I have micro rings and I’ve been having a hard time trying to style my hair. I like to wear it up and it’s difficult. I was vacillating between getting micro rings again or switch to tape ins. I wish I would have watched this video 6mos ago before I started using extensions. I am definitely switching to tape ins now.
Have you switched to tape in’s? How are they? Are they viable at all? Can you do French braids and other cute hair looks up and down just like you would without extensions?
I found micro ring to be really uncomfortable with very wavy tangle prone hair, my micro rings showing all of the time. I just found my short hairs getting wrapped and matted at the root I hope that tape ins don't do this keeping the hair flat against my head. I find the micro-rings tug and pull more and come out fairly easily even after pro application. I really wish I didn't waste my money on the micro-rings, but I listened to a friend who has long straight hair and used them for volume not length, now surprise-surprise she has tape ins and loves them more than the micro rings.
Can you show a pic with a high pony/bun with the micro ring? I have tape in and CANNOT wear my hair up bc the tape shows. This is the only reason I want to try rings next.
Typically as long as micro rings are installed properly you can wear your hair up, you want to make sure you have at least half an inch perimeter around your hairline, it will keep them concealed pretty well unless you have really short layers in your hair or if you have really short sides then you may want to take your left out hairline back further, but you end up with a mullet type look, you can always mix the hair extensions if that's the case though and do tape in or glue in extensions on your sides if you cut the extensions into smaller pieces (like 1/4" pieces) they move a little nicer, and make sure you sandwich your extensions and it should help conceal your extensions 😊
I wear tapes. I also do them myself they should leave a layer underneath round the lining of your head around 1-1.5cm round the hair line. Then you don’t see them when you put your hair up xx
I have only had micro ring hair extensions but I am considering tape. I like to do various hair styles, this includes french braids. I can do this with the micro bead extension but feel this wouldn’t work with the tape. What do you think?
My hair is actually pretty long 26".. Medium thickness. It looks thicker when it isnt as long but I'm growing it out lol and idc.. I can do different things for volume.. I want extensions for blonde streaks mainly.. So i think it can get away with 22" because I want peekaboo streaks and i dont want tons.. Anyways I want something that isn't going to ruin my hair lol.
Hi nice video but you don't mention the hair you lost in this things I lose a lot of hair from the wheit of the hair I think the inchy and my own hair is so thin now I removed it and don't know how long it will take to my hair to recover from the damege.
If properly installed and maintained you should t lose more then what normal daily loss. Both can help your hair grow again if properly Installed and maintained
I got my hair professionally done. Tape ins suck they are heavy and the tape was so sharp against my head. I removed my tape extensions myself using coconut oil and it slid off didnt need to go into the salon to waste money.

Yes! If it’s your first time they’ll feel a bit tight and uncomfortable to sleep on but keep an eye on them , they’re probably too close to your scalp so when your hair grows out a little that’ll go , maybe when you have your refit ask them to do them not as close to the scalp? But then they’ll grow out quicker and you’ll need to get them done again sooner x

I had the worst experience with microrings, my hair got very matted and i lost half of the volume when i took them off. Its a miracle i even have hair now. Im trying tape ins
