For all of the people who are saying the stylist cut too much off. . . this is a TAPERED CUT its meant to be short at the back/bottom and longer at the top. This stylist did a great job cutting her hair. Some of yall have a grudge up against stylist thinking that there the devil. Not all stylist cut off too much hair. LOL
I agree, but didn't the stylist say a "grown out" tapered cut? I honestly though she wasn't going to take off that much. It's still looks good on Chizi though. It looked like she was going to cry :( , but like I said it is still a really cute cut.
GORGEOUS!!! I love how adventurous you are with your hair...I texlaxed mine 3 months ago (and no I don't hate myself) I just wanted to enjoy my hair more. Anyway the cut looks great in its fro state and all curled up. Absolutely gorgeous.
+janecartersolution....In the Salon then, is where JCS products need stay because product lines LIKE it, and the others priced similarly DO NOT price according to the "Average woman," with "Average BANK,"'in mind!!👎🏾 $20 for an 8ounce bottle of a concoction promising results that MAY or MAY NOT give You what you're looking for??? Ain't nobody got "Coin," fa Dat!!! And these YT's PUSHIN PRODUCT-Lines ALL ABOUT da DOE are NO BETTER than the Industry Giants NATURALS "Claim," to be capitalizing on the Natural Hair Movement!!! Ya'll ALL a bunch of MONEY-GRUBIN 🐍.....ADMIT Da-ISH!!!!!
My dearest Chizi ! This same EXACT thing happened to me two years ago! Girl don't even sweat it. First of all, the style is beautiful and you LOOK beautiful with it! Rock on! Secondly, it will grow back before you know it. I have type 4 b/c hair just like you do. I want to encourage you that your hair will grow out quickly so don't worry. Thirdly, while you wait for it to grow out you can either wear extensions for two to three week periods ( with breaks in between ) like i did, OR you can be better than me and be confident with your beautiful cut and style the hell out of it! Who knows, after having it short for a while, when it grows back you might very well decide you liked it better short! After cutting my shoulder length natural hair ( way too short) and it grew right back, i eventually cut it again ( with a different stylist) and got it right the second time. Mine is now a grown out taper/bob style and i like it better than shoulder length. I'm just saying give the cut a chance....see how it goes. You might grow to love it and keep it.
Yaaaaassssss, Chizi! I have the same cut and have been hiding my hair under braids and weaves for a few months. After watching this video of your beautiful tapered cut and this gorgeous perm rod set, I'm doing my hair the same way and will rock it proud! Thank you for uploading!
WHHAATTT!!! That hairstyle is FIYAH!!!! I'm actually getting my hair cut today, and after watching this, you make me wanna cut mine like this!! But I will just stick to my original plan!!LOL!! Go 'head w/yo' bad self, GIIRRLL!!!
Tbh after seeing you post a pic on Instagram with this cut I wanted to do the SAME EXACT thing to my hair!! It looks beautiful!!! Best cut I've seen on 4c hair. I'm interested in seeing what other styles you do with it.
Love it!!! you've got that Jouelzy tapered rod set. I love when 4cs cut their hair, we can do it too. Bf I looked at comments I knew it was going to be... "Why'd you cut it?" "Why so short?" blah blah. I know your twist outs are all that now too. My opinion is minimal bc it's ur hair, but cay-utttte
Jesus Christ and Blood of Zachariah. She did a FANTASTIC job. Your hair looks absolutely LOVELY. Like omg, the care and preciseness she used for each strand, and the way she took her time and practiced complete patience. Just wonderful and beautiful. Also, really inspiring and beautiful to see it on 4c hair. Just lovely
I love this!!! And honestly it doesn't really look like she cut that much off. It probably appears that way because it in a curly style. I'm sure if you picked it out right now it would be a lot longer looking lol. Nonetheless, this is cute you better rock this hair girl!
AHHH!!!! So first things first... THE SHRINKAGE IS REALLLLLL. That's all I thought about during the beginning of this watching her cut your hair!! 4c probs 😩 but this video was super helpful for me as I am growing out my hair and it looks basically like your cut you just got!! I struggle with using perm rods on the shorter sides but this gave me a better view of how I should be doing it! Jane carter is the product I use also, so I was even more excited to see that's what she used on you!! I'll have to film my efforts. Thank you so much for this vid!!
Wow! Thank you for being brave and sharing your haircut with use. I wanted to close my eyes during the cutting parts BUT the style turned out great and looks fabulous on you!
Ok I usually never comment on RU-vid videos but I have to say something now. Chizi, my name is Chizi too. Watching you is so inspirational to me. I'm transitioning right now and your videos fill me with so much hope and I can relate to you so much. We share the same name, we're both Nigerian (Igbo), both 4c, both in college. You're like my natural hair mentor right now lol. And your haircut looks gorg.
looking good! for the first time ever in my life I've given thought to getting a tapered look but I wanna slim down. I think a tapered look looks better with a slimmer face. And I'm glad your stylist is in NY. I'll def drive the 30mins just to get my hair done
Soooo pretty I cut my hair last year, but it was relaxed. But I've been transitioning since the summer of last year & I will definitely be getting this style for this summer 💛💛
i understood clearly, for the record it is not easy cutting hair with this density and texture. it takes a true professional. i wish i could do this. great skill. fantastic work
This is beautiful!! I'm natural and everyone says your hair is so pretty and thick, you got "good" hair yadda yadda. Yes I agree it is, but dannnng I'm so sick of all this long hair on my head for no reason! Thanks for sharing. I'm getting this.
Thank you so much for cutting her hair naturally and not flat ironing it out first :-D I never thought it was super necessary to always flat iron first :-D
Chizi! Can you do a video all about cutting 4C hair?????!!! And advice and how you felt after? And also how long it took to grow back? I’m seriously thinking about it and we have the exact hair type girl! Lol. it’s harder to find videos about cutting natural hair, 4C in particular. My hairs about medium length, it passes just over my collar bone Sometimes I feel like since I have kinkier hair, it won’t look as good and I’ll look like my brother lol. I think I might be a little too attached to my hair and I wanna break free from that cause honestly HAIR IS JUST HAIR 🤷🏿♀️but I would love to hear about your firsthand experience and then I can make the decision for myself. Love you Chizi! Keep doing your thing!💕💕
Abeg my sister. Gerrarahurr! That hair is da bomb! She did a GREAT job. I wish my hair had volume like yours. I see all your styles and I keep in an inspiration folder. I love love love your hair no lie.
This is amazing, but how do you maintain the look? My hair texture is just like yours, but if I sleep on that it's gonna be a mess in the morning. Trying to figure out a nice low maintenance tapered cut.
Woooooow I loooove it girl. I have 4c hair too and now I wanna do this. When my hair gets longer though. The tapered look is so beautiful 😩😍😍. Thank you
Love it. I knew it was going to be cute before she even finished cutting it. Did she mention why she uses the paper with the perm rods? I'm just wonder if it helps to tame the ends.
