Hi ... Do you know how to check in on the live stream when you are away from your home and the Wi-Fi the security cameras connected to ? I tried to connect to the camera to see the live stream in my house using my mobile data but it would not connect to the camera and I could not live stream how do I check in on my home when away from it if my mobile data doesn't connect to the camera ?
@@tonyabishop7656 the camera must be connected to the home WiFi . once set up correctly you can live stream from anywhere with your phone on data or if you on WiFi
@@gooddealguyinc thank you for your reply. I set up the camera to my home Wi-Fi Rogers provider but I set it up using the tapo app on my mobile phone. Everything works when I'm at home but when I walk away from my Wi-Fi and turn on my data plan through a different provider chatr, it says the camera goes offline.
@@tonyabishop7656 that is very strange . I'm not sure if you have set it up corrcly ?have you tried reset everything and start the set up from beginning? also just to make sure its not the camera try to set it up at a friends or family place and try with their phone if that is a possibility ? I never had this issue before and really not sure what step you might have missed or etc or could be the camera issue ?/if you just nought recently I believe they have a 2 year warranty
@@elizabethhartle2361 you need to buy a SD memory card. they got them at wall mart and other box box stores ...or you can buy online as well . insert the the memory card and it will record it for you
@@elizabethhartle2361 or you can use the TAPO cloud storage but they charge monthly so its better to buy a SD memory card at your local wall mart or etc ... just ask them you need a SD memory card for a security camera .
@@jbercar few things I always tell my customers to check . make sure you verified and activated your TAPO account? when you first sign up they send uban email . 2. there is small hole next to the memory card and there is small pin in the box . you can use any pins or a tooth picks as well lol RESET YOUR camera . and wait for it to blink I thing its green and red and its READY to pair . 3 please double check that the WiFi and password is correct %100 . its always some small step you might have missed . please check the vidio again and start from beginning if nothing works you might have to contact TAPO support for more advice
