Tara Blaise is the only artist to play the part of Beth anywhere close to the original Julie Covington, her voice is pure, and she acts the part perfectly.
Above all the awesomeness, I hear Herbie Flowers' awesome bass guitar dancing up, above, below, and all over the tune. That's some awesome bass playing!
Her voice is stunning. I don't know if you have heard her album, but the way she sings in two songs in particular (feel free and unbearable lightness) is so amazing. Her voice...wow wow wow
I owned the album back in the dark and distant past and this was one of my favourite songs, second only to Thunder Child. I bought the album with my pocket money at 6 or 7, because I was not allowed to play my parents copy without them bing around to make sure I did not damage it. I was lucky as my mum decided they had no control over what I spent my pocket money on as long as it would not cause me harm.

sorry, but was I the only one to hear her say: "Know Nathaniel Know, there must be more to life, There has to be a way that we can restore to life the light we used to Know. "if one man ((her husband) can stand tall, there may be a hope for us all, somewhere in the Spirit of man." She wants to believe in him, and for him to give her Hope. Sadly he has already accepted defeat and consigned her to one of the fallen, only so he can think of her as safe from harm as one of Satan's own, that's why he questions her death: "why Satan? Why did you take one of your own?" Better to believe she was fallen, than to fear for her safety.
TagEast TagWest maybe not. This is a older version of this song. In the later versions of the musical (updated with loads of extra special effects) Beth dies and goes up to heaven. But i say this: this is a awesome live version and they were like a real couple and thank God it’s taped and still availeble.
Rinus Onink no in the original with Phil Lynott and Julie Covington Beth dies at the end. Also if you find another video of this version she also dies in the minutes missing
Nothing against the new one, but somehow some of these screen effects look better to me than the cheap looking new ones. It should be the opposite, but some of the new ones are kinda bland compared to this.
