There is a live action War of the Worlds immersive experience in London featuring sets, special effects, vr and live actors which together does an amazing job putting you into the story such as riding a small boat as London gets attacked and watching Thunderchild battle fighting machines as we desperately head for safety in the boat. I'm putting myself in mood for a return visit

It's on DVD and you can get it on Amazon, just make sure you want to watch the Richard Burton version or the Liam Neeson version (2012) both are good and I can recommend it because I have both albums, the dvd and I went to see it in 2014 at the 02 Arena (It featured Jason Donovan, Ricky Wilson and Carrie Hope Fletcher)

I grew up on this. I have multiple copies . He re-recorded it in 2011 I believe. New singers, new effects. Jeff said he finally got to have the sounds he imagined!!!

I've loved this album since I bought it on vinyl when it was first released. I now have it on cassette, CD and even MiniDisc! Not forgetting the DVD concert, of course. And no, I have nothing to do with the narration!

You have to review the new generation of the war of the worlds with Liam Neeson. The music is more up to date and the concert of the new generation as well with a clever hologram of Liam presenting on stage.

I was at the Manchester (UK) leg of this tour, absolutely blown away by it!

I saw it back in the mid 2000s at the Royal Albert Hall with Justin Hayward and Russell Watson singing Parson Nathaniel. It was fantastic.

It looks like the great Herbie Flowers who was on the original recording is doing his amazing bass playing here as well.

We saw the 2022 concert at Nottingham Area here in the U.K. a couple of weeks ago, it was our 4th time over the years. You can find some brilliant videos on this site. At 79 Jeff is still producing this brilliant show, fantastic CGI, and in 2022 Justin Haywood was back live on stage.

Love it I have the album 💿my sisters used to go to sleep at my aunt’s house late 80’s I bought the cd!

I have seen it live at the Dominion Theatre London . I have bought the album ,taped it and have the CD it also been shown live on SKY arts several times.

I watched the whole show on you tube. I didnt expect to love it, but I did. It kept me interested the whole way through. Love the music, you can feel the energy in the theatre, just brilliant stuff.

On the album and in regards to the concert , Justin Hayward's parts are referred to as-"The Voice Of Humanity."

I saw this tour back in 2006...amazing, one of the best gigs of my life. BTW, you missed off an additional piece about the Martians prior to 'No-one would have believed...'. It was made especially for the live tour as were the commissioned video graphics.

Nicely over the top stuff :-) Makes me wanna read the book again.

Ive seen this Concert about 200 Times . On DVD it's a Awsome Concert Ive seen this Live In 2012 I sewar The new Generation tour . With my Dad. In Cardiff And 2014 The Final Anera Tour in 2014. In Cardiff as well. This Concert Was filmed at Wembley Arena in London. Back in April 2006.

There’s a Martian Fighting Machine aka a Tripod that Comes Down on the Stage and it Moves and shoots Fire and it sparks and Has Glowing Red and Green lights in its Eyes and It Dies but is it Dead or Alive you Can’t tell

There is a DVD of the 2006 Show available... :) But also a newer one (DVD and BluRay) which is based on a Remake (new Generation) The new Generation Version ist basically a Remake with a new Cast and narration (by leam Neeson) and more Electronic Sounds... Not as good as the Original Version for sure :)

Recommend getting the first DVD 2006 i think. The one with Liam Nelson in it is not that good

Trust me guy's you do not wanna watch or react to the live version of Jeff Waynes The War Of The Worlds The New Generation Version because it is ABSOLUTE UTTER SH*TE!... Liam Neeson doesn't do a good narration and also to sing the chances of anything coming from mars and forever autumn Jeff Wayne replaces Justin Hayward with the singer of the band called Wet Wet Wet Marty Pellow... AND FARK ME DOES MARTY absolutely Farkin BUTCHERS IT!... am I Farkin glad I never paid any big money for a ticket to go watch the New Generation Version because after Marty Pellow's performance?... I'd of been demanding a Farkin Refund!
