@@bigelowkaryn Taraji probably felt offended about the video dropping the rose…I don’t know. I was offended by a couple of his videos. Have nothing against this guy, but my only opinion of him is his videos, which causes more drama than needed. I have never seen him or a video of him giving out free food. If he does then great, but he needs a publicist to help him navigate this crazy social media because he’s going to ruin his brand trying to always have the last word on every situation.

Keith Lee has always come across as a humble guy to me based in what I see on social media. He really tries to help small businesses. I think this is all a mishap and for whatever reason BET decided to switch their seats and no one informed Taraji. I think they both could have handled it better.

My opinion : were all human and not perfect. Taraji couldve handled it better but she was annoyed. She has alot of loyal fans and fans seeing their fav annoyed they go crazy. Keith lee backtracked his rose drop was because his wife was upset. Then he realized people love taraji not smart so backtracked back into his semi monk theatrics of life is purpose and were all energies. ( nothing wrong with adapting monk theology but alot of people now speak this way of life but then actions contradict it and move with ego.) If your really abt this theology you wouldnt respond you would move on. So both have faults but neither did anything serious to be canceled

⁠⁠@@mrbear716 BET was indeed black owned when it was an amazing channel. Robert L Johnson was the owner and his wife ran it. Viacom bought BET in 2001 for 3 Billion and I remember it was a very sad day for Black Americans- we knew it would destroy the channel and look it has! I grew up watching BET and it had great music with great uplifting black entertainment- I hope it’s black owned again because it’s up for sale now! Tyler Perry was going to buy last year but something fell through- let’s hope!

This is what happens when you invite RU-vidrs and TikTok stars to award shows lol. He says that he was grateful and all that but why posta video of you dropping the rose that was given to you with an "inspirational" quote. The caption, coupled with the video, was extremely passive aggressive and anything but inspirational. He should have just said he was in his feelings and being passive aggressive. IMO, HE blew it out of proportion with his post. I think Taraji was spot on, his ego was hurt but he'll be alright.

I don’t know if you realized but the “celebrity” as you remember it hasn’t been a thing for years and social media stars are the new celebrities. Rhoa, baddies, the kardashians type shows are the topic of conversation mixed with some “celebrity” news here and there because they’re all in the same boat. Some social media people even make more than some of your actors and actresses. Also BET needs people like Keith Lee there because his social media following will bring in viewers which they need and he too is a part of the celebrity world now. He didn’t invite himself but the whole situation wasn’t the deep and is being dragged on too long and will be forgotten in a few weeks.

With Keith Lee, I felt like his initial post with the rose drop was unnecessary ESPECIALLY if he knew that Taraji wasn’t at fault. If he didn’t want the rose, he could have given it away, or left it on his seat without posting it. If he was gonna post at all the video giving context to the situation should have been the only post. With the comedian that trolled him, people have got to learn that not everyone is down for the games, pranks and trolling. Especially when getting into someone’s personal space like that. He already explained multiple times that he has social anxiety, so he is already on the defense.

Keith Lee has done too much GOOD for small business restaurants to get this much hate. Having a 53 yr old host a show that now skews young is the problem. They're not gonna know these content creators and influencers. Blame production because they moved Keith and his wife to be part of Taraji's joke. She messed up and it was in poor taste to tell a married man w/his wife next to him to call her. She seemed confused during the joke because she didn't even call Dr. Bobby Jones by name. Her post was stank. I still think she is partially to blame for the Color Purple not doing well, so i just don't have it for Ms. Henson anymore.

Keith Lee has a right to feel a way about that segment with Taraji. It was very awkward and cringe, actually. The hold rose segment felt off. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Some people would have responded far worst than dropping a rose on the floor. Production should have axed the whole segment in my opinion. This matter is no big deal at the end of the day.

Keith Lee uses God to propel his social media platform, because in reality nothing qualifies him or his opinion. It gives people the perception that "it's not my opinion, I'm just a humble servant of God, doing the lord's work," and who can argue with that? It's a noble task, right? The problem is that when you use God as a catalyst, you are expected to behave with humility, and he did not. He acted like a problematic celebrity because of his ego and fans treated him like it. It was his moment. She said 10.9 out of 10 to align her joke with his food reviews. The joke was bad and giving him the rose was bad. He was being dramatic with both of these videos. And calling out BET for changing his seat or being unprofessional is so unnecessary, she just didn’t realize you were in a different spot. Be thankful you were in the room and enjoy the show and the fact that you were even part of the skit.

You don't want the recognition but you accept the invite to attend the BET Awards? Plus he was sitting in the front row? If you don't want the recognition, then why accept the invite?
