Your hair is so beautiful! I def think they mastered the cleansers/conditioners. The smell was an issue to me too. I can see it giving someone who is sensitive to scents a headache.

I love the hair line. I used the gel and I did not see any flakes. But it did say that you do not need a lot when using the Gel. I love everything in the hair care line.

GURL! I'm so late! I just found out about her hair care line last week! I wanted to run out and support! When I hit my Target, I was kinda overwhelmed by all the options....plus I was kinda turned off by the "For All Hair Types" tag. Like...nah. Anyway. I changed my mind and said Imma just hold off on buying this line...and just now it crossed my mind to see if anyone did reviews. I appreciate your review. You kept it short, sweet, and honest with your demonstration. I'll be looking at more reviews and THEN I'll make my final decision on if I purchase this line, and what exactly to get for my own hair. Her and Tracey should have just supported lines that are already out here. For instance, I support Naptual85's line because that woman is honest and has been here for the movement for years. Now Tracey has always been natural but shes mixed and never had to fave some of the malice some of us with kinkier hair textures (I am 4a) have. It just seems like they want money. Nothing wrong with that but I dont feel like thwy worked that hard for us sistas and brothas that have always supported them.

Tracee does have a full black sister and nephew whom both have 4b-4c texture hair, so I'm sure she thought of them when she created her line. Taraji on the other hand hasn't been wearing her natural hair out long enough for me to take her seriously in regards to haircare. She's only been rocking her own hair for the past two to three years now.

Also Tracey's products aren't bad. They just don't rock with some ppl's texture as far as slip. I'm 4a and I actually like her intensive conditioner (I use it as a DC under a little heat, then detangle) and I LOVE the leave in. I def have better conditioners and DCs, but her leave in is litty for real.

UMMM. What?! You really not giving her products a chance cause shes MIXED. listen. being black around black people is hard. but being black in a family of black AND white people can be even harder. im considered light skinned and mixed to blacks but in my family, i was the dark girl with kinky 3c/4a hair. dont speak for mixed people and whether they have struggles. at the end of the day, if you look a lil black, whites consider and treat you black. and you shouldnt be so prejudiced towards mixed people like that. RIDICULOUS excuse. favoritism of someone because they have a certain skin tone or hair type is ridiculous.

Just ran past an ad on IG for this and ran to YT to see reviews. I won't be trying due to the fact that i already have a simple routine that my hair loves (which involves hair grease but that's neither here nor there 🤷🏾‍♀️😩😂) and i don't want to fix something that's not broken, but i am happy for her. Plus i gave into the hype and tried Tracy's products and was extremely disappointed 😥 yea I'm good. Lol.

Girl if it wasn’t for being a content creator I wouldn’t have put my hair through this lol. I also have a routine that I don’t want to ruin. I didn’t use Tracy’s products mainly because of the price point. Glad I didn’t try them. No judgement here about the hair grease lol 😂

If you’re not into anything minty, STAY AWAY FROM NEVER SALTY. 😭 you would’ve thought Elsa made it her self. It’s so strong my whole head felt cool. While rinsing it off, I was literally choking on the mintiness of it. But the shampoo and conditioner are good though.

I have to agree. The products could have a lighter smell. However, I was pleased with the majority of her products. You were definitely honest in this video. She did say less is more when using products to avoid flaking, but I get it. Your hair wad poppin though. 🥰

I absolutely love her Taraji hair products on my fine hair. My hair is naturally curly/wavy so I use all her products and love all of them. Everyone hair is different so of course, Everyone wouldn’t like it.

I bought the detangler and washed my daughter hair literally put it on one section of hair and couldn’t take the smell. It smells like old man cologne and is a very strung scent. I returned it today and will stick to The Mane Choice Line.

@@EishaTaylore I bought them yesterday and tried them today. The sugar scrub smells like peppermint and the master cleanse and conditioner smell a little sweet, I think it's the eucalyptus in it. All of the products were tingly, like when you chew mint gum and breathe in cold air. I liked them a lot but I wouldn't use them weekly because I felt as if they stripped away a lot of moisture along with the dirt and old products in my hair. I'd maybe use it once or twice a month but definitely worth a try

You can try Mielle Organics Pomegranate line, Shea moisture (they have tons of lines by porosity or density of hair. I like the Manuka honey line and Jamaica black castor oil line.) Mane choice might be pretty good for 4C

What made you decide to do a twist out instead of a wash and go? Was there a specific product in the line for twists? Most of the videos I’ve seen with the gel all did wash and go and none had flakes

I wanted to use the hair milk (which specified its great for a twist out) and I knew with the feeling of the gel it wouldn’t be enough hold for a wash n go. So I Figured it would be a great addition for a twist out. My hair flaked on both sides. The side with only the hair milk and the side with the hair milk AND gel. If I would have done a wash n go, I’m sure I would have gotten flakes and not much hold. Hope that made sense! 💕

I picked only a few products but the detangler in the blue bottle is the only product I’ll more than likely re purchase. Maybe it’s in a very small bottle and I have two daughters so maybe not lololol

I purchased her shampoo, conditioner, and master cleanse...I was really looking forward to the outcome, but two days later after using the shampoo, I broke out in horrible rashes...all around my neck and arms. I read what was in the shampoo( aloe, honey, and willowbark)which broke me out, I've now discovered that I am allergic to willowbark. I had no idea that I had this allergy. I'll stick to my grease, water, and deep conditioning.

Love your video. I truly love Tiraji. She is phenomenal; however, I won’t purchase her product. Perhaps I’m naive but isn’t she is the ad with a big ass wig on? If I’m mistaken please correct me. If the creator of the product doesn’t show her own hair in the ad, I’m not convinced that’s a product I want to buy. Just me!

Honestly you could tell that the side you said flaked, the product wasn’t completely washed out because before the gel was added to that said there was already flakes of product.

I'm glad I'm not the only one completely turned off by the smell. Her products also completely dried my hair out. Even the cowash. They have literally been sitting in my shower for so long because I refuse. I gave them a good try too and was so disappointed. I really wanted to support her hair product line but it really does not work for me.

Me too I fell into the natural hair product trap for a little bit. Then I took it back to the old school way...blue magic grease and water. Never could stand pink lotion growing up so I kept that one out lol My hair was like thank you! Glad I went back to grease.

Check the ingredient's on the shampoo's, their full of sulfates! Sulfates is what makes shampoo sud up and it strips our moisture. It's only good to use for a good wash.

Yeeea I commented on another vid, anything with Xanthan gum is more susceptible to flakes (so you have to zero in on the instructions) and most gels create a caste so they don't play well with twist. It's like you wouldn't set a wrap on straight hair with a gel. Taraji shouldn't have released so many products without clear instructions and maybe tutorials. Not user friendly.

It’s actually the PVP that’s causing the flaking. PVP can flake due to user error (using too much, not working in the product to the stand) or non-user error issues (room temperature, weather, reaction to other products). PVP is the polymer many companies use because it’s water soluble and it’s cheap. But it’s known for flaking. So while I like the collection, the polymer is not good to market for at home use. It should be used by folks with the skill set to manage it and unfortunately most folks at home aren’t aware of the need to manage PVP containing products differently than Other gels.

@@FayeInTheCity hey girl hey! I forgot it has PVP. BOTH PVP and Xanthan gum are susceptible to flaking. Yes products with PVP can have a learning curve and I believe a gel that is everybody's fav, Eco styler, has PVP. Tutorials from professionals would have helped to set a standard on how to use the products.

Should have watched the reviews before buying!i paid almost $90 and I'm not pleased. I do like the tingle but i have thick hair...It's definitely not for afro American hair lol that's fine but just not for me!!!

I used her products to much perfume in the products very strong order I try to reach out to their company even to her on Twitter never got a response I asked if they have anything that was not so perfumy I am disappointed with her line there was probably two things in the line that I like that wasn't so strong I'm almost like a conditioner that you put inside the braids so your scalp won't be itching it came in a little yellow bottle and another one was in another type of conditioner but the other products is to much perfume too strong I was getting sick on the smell I think that these products are good if you have a weave and the smell of your weed is getting stronger than you can mask it with the perfume smells but other than that 2 strong have a smell the person that has allergies could not handle this

My hair was not as defined as they could be, my hair was very dry and brittle and my hair has flakes. Overall a bad experience even if my hair was “defined”. Oil wouldn’t have helped anything.

You didn't even have to review the products. When tarji announced she had a hair care line for natural hair, I automatically knew it was gonna be wack. With these products, she is clearly cluesless about what the natural hair community has going on.
