@joshuakemp1439- If your talking about the "Smart type technology" to help with impedance rise, then no, Rockford Fosgate, and JL Audio had amplifiers that made the same power @ different impedances, years before Taramps.
The big boss 3k bass and 2 12 timpano 3500 series sounds rediculous i a 4.5 cube ported box tuned to 32 htz gets crazy does a 150 db so its got alot of spl
@@joshholden8561 lol damn bro I hate taramps, I know if I buy a nice Korean 3500-4k wired low I'd hit a 150db I've already tried this out in my wall build taramps are not that impressive for Spl, I just received a taramps ɓig boss 3k for my Daily driver, wired to .5 it sounds decent haven't metered yet but it might barely hit a 148-149 my guess might meter it today
I notice you're cutting off while the amplifiers trying to perform. Seems like your wired a bit lowered in 0.5 ohms. Are you wired at .25 ohms and rising? What is each one of your crescendo amplifiers wited to?
@@956Bassaddict I figured that's what was going on. .25 normally shuts them down, usually resulting in fire and smoke. I rebuild these amplifiers all day for the company as well as out of warranty repair work. I try my best to explain to customers on how to keep their amplifiers in great working condition, from voltage, to impedance, to clipping and excessive clipping which I should have mentioned first. I'm actually glad to see that it continued to work after it shut down a few times. This is really the importance of having a great electrical to begin with.💯💯

@josephhammond2557- If used @ 1 ohm, then the regular= full range Taramps Smart amplifiers= (1 ohm stable), are the way to go. If wiring to 1/2 ohm, the Big Boss Bass, or even the Smart Bass amplifiers= (1/2 ohm stable), are the way to go. Many system's while playing music have 4x impedance rise. If this is the case, then a Big Boss Bass 5k, wired @ 1/2 of an ohm, would still produce rated power, rising to 2 ohms, vs a Regular=full range Smart 5k wired to 1 ohm, if the same 4x impedance rise occurred= 4 ohm power= 3k. An Amp Dyno is NOT a speaker, so just because the regular= full range Taramps Smart amplifiers show better on the amp dyno, doesn't make them better on a speaker. As most systems average 2x to 4x impedance rise as music is playing.
I use the clipping light to set the gain. But on the big boss 3k amp I was having a hard time trying to make the clipping light to work. Maybe something is wrong with the clipping light on my amp
Thanks 👍 they are both good options. But if you're going to be wired around 0.5 ohms, i go with the taramps for the price, and they are great fighting, ohm raise 🔉🔊🔈

@rubenavila8012 I did a video with 2 taramps smart 8k wire to 2 ohms each, and they did great. I wire a single smart 8k at 1 ohm on the 4.11 neos and is powerful enough to move those subwoofers. My smart 8ks are the 1 to 2 ohms version, the lowest i have wired those amplifiers was 0.8 ohms one on each 4.11 they work great they not even get hot at all. 👍🔉🔊🔈
It will probably be enough power, but if you can try to get the 5k, it is better to have extra power or if you want to upgrade your subwoofers in the future. 👍🔈🔊🔉
I know the amp showed 9200 watts on the amm-1. But only did a 155db. When I test those subwoofers with my Crescendos amps, I clamp 9200 watts with both amps combined and did a 160db
@956BassAddict- Even though im always eager to watch your videos, i was disappointed to see the title of this video. I almost did not watch it. Stop teasing us ALREADY, i want to see those 2- Crescendo BC 17K's, @ 1/2 ohm each, give those 4-18" FI Audio, 3.9, Black Neo subwoofer's, that Big D**K POWER! And no way that Big Boss 3 Bass, did 9k, and only scored a 155.3 Db, and oh, i won't even talk about your Amm-1 showing 36k🤦😉😆
My uncle bought the big boss 3k, and i want it to try it out to create some content. Don't worry, my friend, the ultimate test is coming. Give me some time. I just got back from work. i liked to break in the subs a little more before the big test. I have a couple of videos before the big test 🔈🔊🔉👍

@evilinside5984 Yup, my uncle loves his system. That amp is no joke. Is too much amp for those 10" skar subs. Get one it works great, i want to break in the subs before I put big power on them. I'm also anxious to see what the subs can do. 🔉🔊🔈
@@956Bassaddict- The best sounding Skar Audio subwoofer's are there VXF= 1,500 watts R.M.S., and 3,000 watts peak, per subwoofer. A pair of the VXF 12s, or 15s, in D2 coils=1/2 ohm per pair= perfect match to that Big Boss 3 Bass amplifier! Also these VXF hit the Low Lows the best out of the Skar subwoofers as well. They sound great in sealed, ported, 4th order, and 6th order bandpass, very versatile, a very good value vs performance ratio.
I bought the basshead garage power watt meter the other week and love it, so much more convenient that the amm-1 you can install on your dash and has a better looking screen.
You can see at the last part of the video i have to disconnect the rca for the mid and highs for copiright reasons. The amp delivers around 5k watts on music 🔈🔊🔉👍
