The thing with Thailand is it can be extremely relaxing or extremely exciting and importantly it’s possible to turn that switch on and off any time of day or night. At home it’s hard to find those zones or even be in charge of the on off switch as people , the weather the ambience don’t facilitate it very often and it just ends up middle of the road hectic and boring. Thailand is king of the playground and what a playground it is .
You nailed it- great comment. Something unexpected seems to happen every day which is the magic of the place. I’ve heard it described as like the lion witch and wardrobe where you step into another dimension.
I've been going for 20 years and always wondered about the suit guys lol thanks for clearing that up. I have to wear one for work hell no am i buying one in Thailand no matter how cheap it is
that area of phuket is ruined by the salespeople especially during Normal, pre-Covid times - they never stop asking if you want a massage, tuk tuk, something to eat, a suit, or whatever...tourism will pick up but not by much. still too many travel uncertainties and requirements with respect to thailand.
I have known quite a few people who have bought suits in Thailand all I can say is you get what you pay for you spend more you get more you pay less then you get shit
Suit guys have been around for ever. They perform a good service for people who need that, measuring a person to get an exact fit then the suit gets produced in a small workshop. The price of the suit is probably 1/5 of what it is in the West.
Suit man I thought he said soup. I would think most tourists travel with small bags that you couldn’t fit a suit in. Reminds when I was in Saigon they would try to sell me sunglasses even on cloudy days.
@@Tommyland_ because a quality custom suit is quite expensive in Western countries. Definitely too hot to wear while there thought. Something to buy on the way out, if you have any money left!
@@dae1973 bought two... 3 shirts n 2 shorts... great value for occasions. also in Vietnam I bought a few of those V hats... they were far worse of an item to travel with.
Thailand has the best tasting coffee and cheap. So good. I was having a drink on the beach in Patong and every 5 minutes someone was trying to sell me something. I just want to be left alone. I did end up buying, sunglasses, keychains, various Nick knacks, but never had a drink on the beach again.
I'm in Patong. Let me know if your in town this Thursday and i'll buy you a drink Ledunk23 is my line. Ya the sales people are very annoying after a week or more being here. I need to hurry up and buy a motorbike just to avoid them and the OVERPRICED taxi rides here.
