i got these darts for christmas the complete set up from the flights to barrel suit me to the ground the balance of the dart and pixel grip is excellent 😀🎯 i put my thumb at the rear of the dart it flows so smoothly

Im seeing a ton of 140s from Phil in premier league. Im seeing that third dart being pushed out of the triple 20 and worried that the width of the barrell is the main cause? Im a rare gripper and want to try these out. But what is your take on the width and hitting those 180s?

It could be partly that reason, obviously they have more thickness to cause that sort of thing compared to a thinner dart but if thats the sort of barrel that is best for him he would just have to accept that problem, but even so he still gets or at least used to get plenty of 180's too. I suppose you could swap the points out for something longer to give more chance of scoring but then it may not suit you. But look at Peter Manley he had fairly chunky barrels and was not a big 180 hitter but did not stop him been a top pro and its certainly not stopped John Lowe and Taylor from been great players using fat barrels :)

Darren I'm looking at getting these what is the grip really like for a rear gripper? I love the gen2 because of the quatro grip, but with these longer barrels of the gen3 I'm 99% looking at getting them. Great review as always 👍👍👍

Well the quatro may be better but these seem a little more front heavy, not as grippy on the rear though.

I ve been using John Lowe darts for some months now and been wondering whether if this purchace would be considered as an upgrade or they are completely different ..I expand my thumb on the whole grip of the John Lowe darts set but the rear part is not supported as far as the grip is concerned..What is your opinion?

Hmm, for me I was not so keen on these and preferred the Gen 4 which I think is closer to the Lowe style but it sounds like these may suit you better as I am really a front gripper. You may find the G3 a better fit for your grip. :)

A little different but you couldn't do a review of the Voks Alaska Mosquito training darts could you? They supposedly encourage you to follow through properly. I'm curious about how effective they really are.

+Stuart Gibbons I have some Voks Montana, had them a few years but only gave them a quick throw, its like trying to throw a needle. Will see if I can find them and do a proper test on them.

+Josh Yeah the shape is really designed to work with the Power shafts, if you look at the profile pics in my close up shots on the forum the rear has a kind of scallop to fit the grip, probably why it feels most comfy there :)

just got these gen3 man what a set of darts stems are amazing with standard flights on them the grouping is very very good as I'm a middle gripper they are really comfy can't wait got a darts tournament next week hive these baby's a real try :-D

I usually use 24g dart but I like 26g and for Christmas I am getting the Phil Taylor gen 4 darts which means I only have one chance of getting them so I don't know what ones to get but I might get the gen 3 for my birthday 26g and see what there like

Carrera C4 90 % Tungsten Darts 22 gram 1 more quest :). i got the dart abov. if you see thous darts, there is a carera stamp where no pixel. im looking for a dart who got this move down abour 2 pixel down so i can have my finger at dart point/tip where the barrel starts. you got any darts of recon? regards

I have the Scott Rand darts, not sure if its a newer model your talking about but I bought the first ones he got with Target, they are still in the box, I got them when they first came out but just left them in a drawer lol, I have a few sets that I bought new but never thrown yet :)

Weird that it doesn't have pixel grip on the whole barrel I think. If you like the dart but grip the dart in the middle you spend a lot of pounds for a pixel grip that you don't even use.

+Liasos88 Yeah I think it would have been nice to have it all along, especially for middle grippers but they are made for Taylor so I guess he wanted them that way so he could feel the start of the pixel grip on the rear to locate his grip easier.

I think all razor style grips are very good, there is quite a few with very grippy designs though, the Showtime Fusion, the Voks Jagger, Datadart Skin Ripper, Shot Infinity 3 and probably a few more that I've forgot, oh yeah the Powercore Mugello

+Darts Review Channel Don't blame me for trying. Can you recommend me some darts for rear grip player like me? There is like no retail store in my whole country where I can try different types of darts, and I'm stuck with Winamu Navigator darts that I ordered few months ago. I'm on a steady average of 83 with them, and I feel that I could up that by significant amount with better suiting darts. These look perfect, but I am not in a mood to pay extra 40£ for customs for my thieving country. Thanks a bunch.

thanks for the quick answer. I plan to buy these darts (26g) in the next days. I think I will additionally buy the INTB and Medium shafts to find out which are the best for me. But they´re really expensive. Do I ever have to buy these shafts again ?? I mean, can they go broke ?? they look really stable. Probably only have to buy the tops of the shafts someday right ??

Yeah I only really bought them for reviewing purposes, kind of silly in a way as I knew they would not be right for me but had so many requests to review them I had to oblige my subscribers :) I think at some point I would have bought some anyway as its usually a case of curiosity getting the better of me and the more I seen them the more I liked the look of them. Will be interested to hear how you get on for sure. I feel uncomfortable playing with Phil Taylor darts: They're too heavy, the flight is strange, the shaft is too long for me etc. I've switched to Winmau 22g Sabotage with 35 mm shafts and standard flights.

Darts Review Channel My Soft Tip Gen3s i was holding at the rear part.As i decided to play them also in Steel,i wasn,t able to bring them straight int the board.They where croocked to the right.Then i changed my grip to the middle and everythink was perfect.

Some I have given away in forum comps or on this channel and some I have sold and some I keep, it depends really whether I like them a lot or if I just fancy collecting them but I mainly collect older vintage sets and not so much modern ones.

Phil Taylor gen 4 is the worst dart Phil ever threw. He should have stuck to gen 3! If he wanted a change just slightly modify the grip. but the shape is perfect

I got them working better with my medium nylons and standard flights and started to hit a few T20's but not great still.

+Darts Review Channel trouble with that though is anything else but the original stems and small flights on them completely destroys the unique look of the darts

Exactly and the supplied set up does look good, still it works for some but I expect to see a lot on ebay very soon :)

Sir... I wanna ask you about that Daytona fire target darts...can you convert the tip on Daytona fire steel tip dart if you buy them and change them to soft tip?

Hi, no its a fixed steel tip only, you would be better to get the Daytona Soft tip versions if you want to use for soft tip then use steel conversion points on those to use them for steel tip or if you prefer the steel tip weight then you could try to send them to a custom dart maker who would be able to alter the nose of the barrel so it takes a 2ba point but it may affect the balance of the dart :)
