Tarisland is a non-P2W MMORPG on PC/mobile, featuring raids, diverse classes & builds, and a vast world for exploration. Here, myths are real, ghosts exist, and magic is unquestioned. I do agree its time for another WoW like experience with a more recent engine BUT this just ain't gonna be it especially with your armor/weapons being a paid thing and then to top it off the dev/publisher will instantly push most western player away from ever giving it a shot. While I would love for WoW to do a massive engine upgrade it would instantly receive backlash unless it could be turned off in game but I imagine the kinda changes that would need to be made to make it seem like a huge visual leap would likely result in a permanent upgrade no swapping between visuals new and old.

Weapons and armor being a paid thing? U get some from just playing the game. It isn't all paid for its a beta. When ff14 shut down to do an overhaul and fix what was broke it was reborn as the top/2nd best as far as population and player count in the mmo genre. But graphics aren't all that if people enjoy the art style. Ex osrs minecraft. It's whatever u enjoy in the game but I feel if graphics are a huge deal I direct people to BDO.

The Devs lying about pay-2-win canceled this for me. I dont' mind a game being pay-2-win from time to time, but the Devs adamantly saying that this game would never be pay-2-win over and over, and then implement it in a way as to try and hide it shows what this game is and what their agenda is in the future. Again, pay-2-win is fine, but trying to deceive the playerbase in an underhanded way is just terrible.

This game was madefor Blizzard as World of Warcraft in China, but then Activision pulled out of the deal so they redeveloped the game. It literally is a mobile World of Warcraft.

The cinematography and appearance is absolutely beautiful. One of the best out there. The story on main quest is pretty fun. I am a little surprised no key-binding can be set for mouse. That is something they really need to incorporate. Really the one thing bothering me the most is the tool tips pop up and cover the skill bars and then many get stuck. During a dungeon or boss fight this is so so annoying. It has its own built in boss - raid warnings. When to dodge or what to do regarding mechanics. At least so far. The questing is kind of clunky to follow. Had a couple that seem to be bugged out where I can not complete. I think its worth staying with but can see it may get allot of flame from the Wow player base. But it's not Wow so yeah.. I say thumbs up and worth letting them work out the bugs.

After the recent shitstorm about false advertising (their game being p2w actually, they claimed the opposite), they removed the "non-p2w" phrase from all their social media and marketing material. I suggest you remove the "non-P2W" from your description as well.

Once upon a time, a game called Doom was released, then other games like it came out, which many came to call Doom clones. Eventually though, that type of game came to be called the first person shooter, or FPS genre, so most people at least, stopped calling similar games Doom clones. It's the same sort of thing here, even if some of the things you're mentioning may have been things Blizzard came up with in their Warcraft series of games, things like that have since become absorbed into RPG games as a whole. While others some may attribute to Warcraft, were in fact things Blizzard got from other sources, but people attribute to Warcraft as it was when they first encountered them. For instance, the beast rider has been a class type in Dungeons & Dragons for some time now, and rangers that can make use of animals in some way I believe were in D&D before Warcraft III, when that race, and character type was first seen in a Warcraft game from what I remember, or perhaps even before the existence of the Warcraft franchise.

I'm missing some of the MMO aspect on this game... There is no exploration, finding new areas, killing mobs across the map, discovering new thing, and also customization of builds... you can't make your build, just passives, wtf. To me it is more similar to Dauntless than any other mmo

It's not tedious and difficult to fix if you actually put in time and effort into designing and devloping your cloths/armour/weapons to be compatible with each other. The reason it's not done is because it''s cheaper as it saves on development time.

The controversy with this game's initial advertisements about it being not P2W and then the subsequent change and lies they did to cover it up is why this game is trash to me. It's 2023 and I'm expecting most multi-player games that have some sort of competitive aspect to be P2W. It's one thing to be P2W, and it's another to advertise yourself as F2P then to change it last minute. They then treat their community like idiots by essentially saying it was a miscommunication on what "their" definition of P2W is when there is evidence that things were clarified by people before. They just straight up lied. Enjoy your time with the game for anyone who's interested, but know you can't trust the devs at all.

The PC version of this mobile game is kinda meh. It's got fewer settings than you'd expect, basically a carbon copy of the mobile version. Seems like the devs were all about the mobile experience first and then decided to bring it to PC in a bit of a rush, probably hoping to snag MMO fans along the way. Not the smoothest transition, to be honest.

Tab-target MMO designed for mobile phones, that means the combat and movement will never be fluid, not even decent. The game looks pretty until you get a closer look where everything just looks beyond generic. Developers lied about the game going P2W, but after the 2nd beta was available, turns out it's extremely P2W. No games will ever be good when they're first and foremost designed for mobile. Literally never.

Another lack of innovation MMO for the books. The second gear does not show on you. Cash shop confirmed. Will see if they over develop the cash shop and leave the game lacking.
