I agree that the old NW was a very unique band, they had their own place in the music world, Tarja's voice was what made their songs so special, Tuomas' songwriting was made with all his feelings and emotions "All of my songs can only be composed of the greatest of pains, every single verse can only be born from the greatest of wishes, I wish I had one more night to live"
@minskii15 But you must also remeber it was not just Tuomas that kicked her out, the other band memebers kicked her out, so you should be mad at them too.
Tuomas still makes amasing music so Nightwish is still worth to hear. And after several listening to the new Album I realised that its another masterpiece.
@minskii15 But you also have to think about this, the other band members didn't want her there either. I agree with another person's comment. One band member can't kick out one person, it has to be the group. She had to done something if the group didn't want her there. I will read the letter again.
@minskii15 I have re-read the open letter. And still it doesn't seem like Tuomas is jealous. It seem to me he speaking about the problems they were having with her. Even her husband has said there hasn't been any commuction since 2000.
I don't know what is going to happen to the band with Anette,but all of us decided to give her a chance...and we hope that she honor the title that was granted to her...A NIGHTWISH BAND'S MEMBER...TARJA'S SUCCESION!!!! ANETTE!! DO NOT ASHAME US!!!
Wooow... so cute... Is difficult that something makes me cry, but how can I dont cry with this?? Really.. I dont have any problem with Annette (she likes me too), and their style [NW] still be amazing (only to say 1 adjetive) ... but with Tarja all the glory came alive.... But just the memories can heal us Anyway, Tarja was a reckless child.... Why Lord?, Why?!
@minskii15 I agree that Tumaous should have told her in her face, because I would have wanted done like that. But they both changed, she changed, the band changed. Tumous doesn't seem like the jealous type.
@onlynat, She change, she became different, stuck up and thought the world moved around her. She was doing other things that didn't have to do with the band. And the band got tired of hearing from her for 1 year. She would go on trips, she wanted to travel seprately from the band. In other words, they changed, she changed.
Look whats done is done, i agree that i prefer tarja..but i havent really given annette a chance...however..all things MUST change..but look at tarja now...shes got her own thing going now...and shes got no restraints...she can only go higher with her beautiful voice...
I'm sorry, but you really got that wrong. Sharon's just singing in her normal, soprano voice. Tarja's singing in her trained opera voice. Both are not straining anything and Sharon's definatelly not in her 'fake' range.
To EnrathJT I dont think that Nightwish (Tarja) would be the first band in the history of music to cancel concerts. Since the band is dependent on voice. If she feels ill then it would be pretty dumb to go on with a show.
Nightwish ha sufrido un gran cambio con el cambio de vocalista, pero sigue siendo una banda brillante a nivel musical. El grandioso estilo compositivo de Heitala, Holopainen y compañía es inigualable. Los vi en directo en el Lorca Rock y, sinceramente, no eché de menos a Tarja en absoluto.
@minskii15 If there is no commution, how can there be a band? If you are part of band you shouldn't be going on and doing other things that has nothing to do with the band. Even her husband and Tarja said, that she wanted to leave the band for sometime. In my mind, if you are going to leave the band, you should just leave the band and not linger.
So I noticed something... apparently they booted Tarja cus she wasn't warm enough? Ever watch Anette in an interview? She's very tense and up tight unless she's being spoken to, even then... Tarja smiles often, and seems so much more alive then some doll when being interviewed. Also, on stage. Yeah, Anette dances around, but Tarja actually waved to the audiance, smiled, waved her hands to encite their excitement, ect. ::Shrugs:: Just something I've noticed. -Lochness
The problems that Nightwish had with Tarja was that she traveled more with her husband (who they greatly disapproved for that matter) instead with them. Not that she need reason to travel with her husband but its not really a hidden fact that the band was inconsiderate to her needs to keep her voice in shape. Such no party, no smoking or drinking.
the band has to be able to express their music on stage and if Tarja was changing cause of her husband's fault and it was causing problems in the band then the best thing to do was to let her go, Tuomas gives everything he has to NW and NW was more important to him then his feelings for her, they would've been great together, but the heart can't always be controled. Still the new NW, even though a different style, is still expressing what they feel, it's not about being stuck to a certain genre
The fact of the matter is that Toumas had created a small problem for himself. Tarja had become Nightwish. He had put her in as a frontfigure then she becamew bigger than HIS band. He had small problem with that. I dont think that the others in the band would have a problem with getting a bigger spot in the spotlight. Which they of course will get, now that Tarja is out of their way.
I have heard a couple of songs with Anette, they are definetly not bad, but they are not in Tarjas class. Tarjas voice is more powerful, Anettes is a little more frail, kinda reminds me of Sabine from edenbridge. Gives the songs a little different sound from Tarja. Dunno if this have been said before, i havent read the commentarys.
She wasnt really the first one to travel with a spouse either for that matter. Ozzy did it, his whole family for that matter. Other bandmembers didnt scream out in protest then. I will always be on her side. The following album for Nightwish will be their last. They have burried their own grave.
Tuomas was not the only one who wanted her gone, it was the whole band, and how can someone take Tarja's side if ALL of the band members agreed to let her go? don't u think they must've had a good reason? Well I think they had
I'm not quite sure, I think my friend read me the letter from Tuomas' point of view, and he said that she was too much of a diva (in a little bit of a nicer way - can't be much nicer wen it's a letter saying you should quit something) and that her husband has had too many influences on her that weren't exactly good or somethin'.
have you COMPLETELY LOST YOUR MIND? take a class vocal introduction 101. Sharon does not sing with natural voice.. She signing with her upper vocals.. basically straining her voice.. Tarja is professionally trained opera singer. Tarja can sing down to mezzosoprano - alto ... Sharon sits in her soprano fake vocal. Listen to her live performance..
The music is the important thing, not the singer... The songs are written by tuomas and they would be still.... FIRST THINKING PLEASE!!! We are all humans...
Then Tarja sent him back a letter saying that she'd be as good without them and stuff. Then there's that saying about Tarja not caring for metal but for the money. =\ Tuomas is working on a book - wait for it. ;) Will explain a lot better, I think. Lol
NOPE she is not singing with a real voice .. listen to her live! her natural tone is def lower. my friend who is a sound engeneer, he run both voices on his machine.. he says she is singing with Fale voice.. i cannot describe what exactly itis you gotta hear it.. she is 1st stage of soprano but her natural voice is high. she is straining her voice
she has a wonderful voice but it's not all about the talent, personality counts also and the relationship that she should've had with the guys counts as well
@Jurie0 Tarja is great ????, U was on her concert in Vizivice (Czech Cepublic) and I was borred of her. I hoped that she will play some more songs from Nightwish but she sings only two from them.She sings 75 minutes and in to 60th minute I was absolutely bored, but after that I could hear some notes from ´´Beauty of the Beast ´´and I a started to feel great. After this song she sings ´´Forever yours´´ .Nightwish is going to be great from now on , but Tarja will go down really fast.....
hola no se escribir muy bien en ingles,pero segun mis fuentes anette esta atrvezando momentos muy duros con nightwish,anette tubo que contratar a un mannager por culpa de los integrantes de la banda...nightwish no esta bien,ni tampoco es un cuento de hadas como decia tuomas...anette esta luchando para ser oida y respetada,yo no aprecio mucho a anette pero realmente la voy a apoyar en todo!
the whole band agreed on kicking out tarja because she was becoming selfish, that's not being cowardly, it's doing what's best for the band. tarja's ego wasn't good for nightwish, so what do you expect them to do?
damn you.. u make me cry:( can tarja take divorce and marry tuomas? can hear nightwish without tarjas voice cant hear tarja soloing without nw's music and other member voices.... cry,cry,cry...... can we do something global to make them be again together?
its so sad by the way i had a vid about new nightwish and had to take it off cause it was 2 offensive i just what 2 say sorry to the people i offended and tuomas looks like my bff chad its scarry
