She's not Coverdale... However, her rendition is very well done. The band is awesome. Tarja has an undeniably incredible voice... Keep up the great work! Love the voice.
Gran interpretación pero por ponerle un pero ,tenian que haber incluido los solos de guitarra y entonces hubiera quedao de diez, aun así se disfruta (me quedo con la de la serpiente )
No... different but not better. I don't really like this kind of music with operatic voice. The middle part is really great but the verses and choruses don't convince me. She tried though. This is not an easy song for a woman, especially a woman who is used to perform operatic vocals.
She's clearly gifted in her particular operatic area.. But this is bordering on satire. Why butcher the riffs also? Play it as Sykes does man, come on.
She should pick out songs from Blackmore's Rainbow instead of Whitesnake if she wants to cover old school hard rock and heavy metal. Rainbow's Stargazer, Catch the Rainbow would have been better choices than this song.
Im digging the nu metal instrumental flavors but this song is totally wrong for her. You cant jam the operatic vocal style anywhere and make it work. And I am a Tarja fan. This is just way off vocally for me. The band is killing it tho.
Her operatic vocal gives it a unique take as she's got a weird sense of humor of picking covers that don't fit her powerful voice -- Tourniquet's Southern Metal inspired track Pecking Order would sound interesting with Tarja's vocals as Luke Easter delivered the rant-like chorus about congregations that are prejudice. I heard the track played live as that's one of Ted's favorite tracks to play live. I could never do the range of their older material as Guy Ritter's vocals had a falsatto. Veronica Freeman could easy belt out the bluesy style as she's influenced by Tina Turner as some of her lyrics are a little ackward for male vocalists as Obey is sung from the perspective of a dominatrix. Benedictum is a heavy metal band I coined Tina Turner fronting Metal Church as they are a little more modern. Tarja's operatic vocals on this bluesy metal track is pretty damn funny as my friends in sixth grade had this album on tape. When I auditioned for heavy metal bands in the 1990s I had pulled out David Coverdale's Deep Purple track Stormbringer. The guitarists on Tarja's band made this classic a little heavier. She might be able to pull off To Hell With The Devil or Weapons of our Warfare. I give her a lot of credit for doing a cover of this one. She does nail Metallica with her operatic vocals as she covers Metallica's more melodic tracks. Nothing Else Matters isn't that dark for Metallica but let's see what she does with Fade to Black. I can picture her covering Type O Negative that's if she can't stop laughing in the studio as Type O Negative did epic tracks that were pretty damn funny. I pulled out the Origin of Feces cover for Ian Arkley of My Silent Wake and he nearly shit himself because Pete was that balsy to photograph his goddamn anus. I give Tarja a lot of credit for trying her unique vocals on a bluesy based heavy metal song from the 1980s. It would be interesting for her to tackle Tourniquet's The Skeezix Dilemma or Bloodgood's Alone In Suicide as Les has a known high range that rivals Dio and Micheal Sweet (Sweet nailed Iron Maiden's The Trooper.) I wonder if she had tried to tackle Anthrax if she can do it without laughing she could nail Believer's Trilogy of Knowledge as that track had operatic vocals. You have to laugh as Tarja is classically trained with her vocals as this track is a little different for her range as she also covers Metallica's lightweight track and able to make it hers. Still of the Night with her vocals is hilarious as she's having fun with this. I wonder if she was trying to keep a straight face with her vocals being more classical as she could sing Flight of the Valkeryies as Still of the Night with her vocals are hilarious. She is showing her weird sense of humor. Sarah Jezebel Deva's live backing band sounds like a nu-metal band as her subject matter for lyrics mirror a lot of the American Nu-metal bands in the late 1990s-early 2000s. I was introduced to Nightwish in 2002 by a reader as I was listening to an American progressive metal band with dark female operatic vocals called Rain Fell Within as they were label mates with friends in Novembers Doom (in the 1990s they had an operatic female backing vocalist.)
it's like someone is scratching a blackboard with their fingernails. the weird thing is though that during the interlude she actually sounds good. like she would be able to do nightwish
Como que le falto sazon ala rola esta bien ejecutada los felicito solo que la rola original tiene un sabor de oido dificil de igualar me gusto el cover solo que seguire escuchando el original saludos
It's pretty damn funny with her vocals. I am going holy shit as the original style is taken from blues rock. David Coverdale would work well with Cream as they also take from blues rock.
+Tarja Child Yes, but we have democracy honey and you must respect the difrent opinion. So i think you must be a little comfuse. This isa hard rock song, not Pucciny's aria.
+Raski It's a song by Gary Moore and Tarja don't come close to the original. Her English pronunciation is not good and the operatic style of singing does not make this song justice for me. She has other songs to sing which fits her voice much better.
Gary Moore? This song is by Whitesnake. John Sykes wrote the guitar parts maybe that's what confusing you as both Sykes and Moore were both Thin Lizzy guitarists at one time. Although not together.
Who actually had the idea to replace the most perfect 80’s riff with some boring nu metal stool sample? This is the worst cover of this song I’ve ever heard. Even Tarja’s voice doesn’t seem work at all for the most parts.
