Also I feel really sorry for Tarja here. Look closely at her reaction when they ask her what she'd like to say to him. She pauses for a couple of seconds, her eyes blink and her face closes down. She has that expression people have when they're really close to crying and trying to put on a brave face. She doesn't look despondent or "diva" about it. She looks like a person who's been deeply (unjustly?) hurt, as if these feelings are still a big part of her life.
Gotta say, I think it's unfair that in Finnish media they really often ask something about Tuomas or Nightwish from Tarja but they don't ask something random about Tarja from Tuomas. Well, Tuomas has said already in 2007 that he doesn't wanna talk about the incident in 2005 anymore, Tarja hasn't set the line.

That was a really crude and insensitive question. I think people keep asking Tarja about it for 2 reasons. 1) Because the majority of fans talk about accepting "new" NW but they secretly want NW and Tarja back together (I say this after looking up a poll on which vocalist most fans prefer; Tarja won by a wide margin). 2) Nobody understands exactly what happened between the band. Tuomas hung a lot of dirty laundry in public, Tarja refuted it but hasn't said much else, so people are curious.
How dare you people be so disrespectful towards the goddess of metal tarja MADE Nightwish the success they WERE now they are just another mediocre metal band with no uniqueness !! Tarja is breath taking she has the most amazing stage presence that takes your breath away and gives u goosebumps
I love what Tarja did with Nightwish, and so does the band itself. And they'd never take it back. But they're much better without her now. If you can't see that then you too should move on from the band.
I think Tarja will always be a lot more mature then Tuomas. She doesn't make it a point to slander anyone, won't say anything even possibly negative in reference, and you can tell she ignores it to make people forget. But people keep bringing it up, they can't get over it. Quite honestly, Tuomas is the sole reason I don't like the new Nightwish, his music may be beautiful but his attitude certainly isn't. Anette is adorable and I'm interested in her new solo CD, but not the new Nightwish works.
@MyOneiricSong Wooo, you´re serious? Think it is TARJA who doesn´t need anything from Mr. Holopainen! She does all the things she always wanted to do now and really seems to enjoy it... The only thing to regret is probably that she didn´t leave NW earlier by herself... Anyway I find it quite strange that people still ask her about Tuomas, but I really like her unmistakable reaction! :)
She was, she is and she will be great singer, and nowadays also songwriter and person who show us that isn't only face of band, she is the reason why they were performing metal. WLB has 4:5 slow songs to metal songs, it's really much but "I feel immortal" is a lot more metal than any of soundtrack songs from Imaginearum (the album is really good but it's not metal anymore). I think that she is coming back for her crown and her next metal album will show us that she is the queen of metal.

Music is a matter of taste, I e.g. like her music. I don´t see that she "hates" Tuomas, btw., think they only managed to become that big TOGETHER! With that gesture she reacted in a very diplomatic way. No single word of "hate"! Just her way to express that she is over and done with him and does her own thing. Anyway, the interviewer seems to be kinda idiot to still ask her about Tuomas, HELLOOOO, it is YEARS ago, let her in peace with that crap! Btw., she didn´t ask him about her, did she?
It's sad that she was the one who wanted to go from the band anyways, only that she got the boot before time. I am a fan of NW since their early days and I still love them. Their new album, Imaginaerum, is their best work till date. :) Love them, and also loved Tarja in the band, but time goes on and on.
I've had enough of this Tarja vs Tuomas thing..It's been 7 years!!!....I love both Tarja and new Nightwish and I'm so sick of all this "war" between Tarja's fans and Nightwish's fans..just let it be...and remember every story has two sides..
And still she is the best for me im old loyal fan for tarja and in my opinion that the best thing happened in the bast she is not with nightwish anymore.. She is great by herself she don't need them 🥰
@DarkWingsAscending That's is a good way to answer ;) I never said she was awful (even if i don't like her voice that much, but that's my taste), I just know that her singing technic is not as good as everyone is assuming. But as I say in another comment, I like listening to What Lies Beneath, it's a good album.
To me, Tarja IS unique, too. Not only because of her beautiful voice but also because she uses it in so many diffferent musical ways. I don´t know anyone who does Classic, Rock/Metal, Christmas songs, totally new concept shows like "Beauty and the Beat", Harus, Outlanders and who knows what is still to come...love when she´s "experimental" with her voice! :) NW, hmmm, I think Anette is a nice person, but nevertheless they kind of lost bit of their former magic to me. But that´s personal taste.
@rsimion3 Yes, I also think she is more than her image, in case people still think of her like kind of "ice queen" who is cold, distant or whatever. I met her this year on a festival and I can say she is one of the most kindest and funniest persons I met so far. I don´t understand how some people see her as frozen, if there´s anything she is not, it is frozen, au contraire! :) And I think there´s no need at all to argue about her beautiful voice...
@Tke Tuomas is 80% child (in his mind), he even openly admits it, as per his songs are 80% tied to childhood-nostalgia. The song "Boy And The Ghost" by Tarja seems to describe Tuomas from her eyes, there is even a line with "dead boy" among the lyrics, I only know of one musician who refers himself to that.
I have seen Xandria live recently and have to say they REALLY ROCK, they have taken the crown of Symphonic/Opera Metal from NW, imo! :) But tell me why do you think Tarja was fake person?? I saw her several times now, her music is emotional and strong, met her even 2 times and she´s really a kind, funny and friendly person... :)
Poor Tarja, being rejected byTuomas, is heart breaking and very hurtful. You can tell that she is still a major pain, and that she has never really got over it.😞
@ParraAHS you do realize that gold/platinum ranks of sold albums varies from country to country. You would be shocked to find what it takes to hit gold/platinum. Look it up. Its rather interesting
We should be respect full of Tarja but we should also be respectful of NW too. She has some rights an all but I don't think suing the band will accomplish anything good, just looks like she can't move on and hurts fans most of all. She has her new career and her husband so I think she should focus on that. I don't think all of these interviews help, asking her what she thinks of what NW are doing. However I will say its lovely there is no resentment between her and Floor.
Where is Marcelo, weird watching Tarja without him a inch away. But very strange way of interviewing in this show, I watched more of them. Soile Cabuli is a great name for her(not only when she's drunk), Your out of my mind Tarha, Argentina is a great place to hide.

@irenikus777 Wrong again. Tarja is considered an opera singer due the the kind of musical elements that she integrates with her singing. If you are still persistent that she isn't an opera singer, then look at her background. She has participated in many OPERAS! Including the Finish National Opera (keyword there is opera) And if you need more evidence about the album, look at the interview with tuomas with the same host. The album is explained as their best only because it is.
Tarja until you resolve "this" problem with the band (Nightwish)....I don't know (It's just my opinion) I can see that you didn't forgive them still....It's hard but... forgive and the hardest is to FORGET.

I don't pay much attention to Anette's things, and my friend who follows it because she thinks it's funny when Anette's blog says something wrong and the Nightwish one has to clear it up, said Anette was thinking of/considering/attempting a solo CD. Well... if she ever does, I will give it a try. I listened to her Ever Dream demo, and I couldn't help but wince at it every other time.
@taci4fun if she really were 'fake as hell' she would have said something overly nice and sappy when asked about Tuomas. By saying nothing, she shows a lot of class and restraint.
@niahaa Oh, if you're truly a student of classical singing, then you should know that Tarja does not use a full blown "opera" or classical voice in her music? It's modified. She adapted her technique and voice to sing rock. She's not singing Puccini, you know. So why does she have to be perfect? I understand to be a true singer of opera, one must study for decades in order to be the best - Tarja has gone another route in music. Which is great, IMO She is talented & has a lovely voice

Stan Haloneinen nightwish are insanely big in europe (they play in arenas and headline huge festivals) and not very big comparatively in americN(they play in clubs)

@niahaa yes, but there's a huge different beteen a ''classicl singer'' and ''classical TRAINED singer'', she has said many times she is not a true classical singing, sure sometimes she misses some techniques live, but no one is a perfect singer, they have their lows too. To say ''she's not that good'' is just too much, and if he really said it, so how bad, both were amazing friends, I feel pity he expresses those kind of things about her.

Anette heard many boos for Dark Passion Play, yes, ONLY because Nightwish hadn't adjusted to her STYLE of singing...They remained the same Nightwish that was good with an OPERA singer. Look at Imaginaerum.Double Platinum in simply two days.That album alone bypassed any other album in complexity, originality, and great musicality overall. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Tarja and she did wonderful with nightwish, but it only took Anette two tries to make the best album ever!
@rsimion3 "Tracking every Tarja video" ?? I like what she's doing now, What Lies Beneath is a good album. I just say that she's not an excellent classical singer. She's good, yes, and if I had the chance to see her live, I would go. I respect her as a person, and as a singer, but I don't like the fact that everyone makes her a "godess", because she's not. Then, if you can't take what I say seriously, that's not my problem.
