Interview with Tarja, after nightwish split up, this is not the press conference.

"Q: How about from now on, are you gonna stay a classical singer or are you gonna try singing in a rock band again? Is there something about it that would make you wanna keep doing it?
A: Yyyyyeahhh...Of course I'm gonna still do classical concerts in a future, and I hope I can develope myself in it, take lessons and make the basics better that I had before Nightwish. I have progress during Nightwish too, and I will in a future as well. And the rock-thing I'm not gonna forget either, and the future plans of me as a solo artist, and I don't wanna forget the certain heavy metal basis that I got in 9 years career in Nightwish. It has given so many new elements to me, and I'm gonna use them in future. It's not that I'm gonna make a heavy metal album, but some elements from here and there. Put them together with my classical voice, education and person. I think that's gonna be the thing that people hear from me.
Q: Is it impossible thought that you would join some band?
A: Now that you're asking....I've never sacrificed a thought for jumping into some band that already exists, as a frontwoman. That's pretty strange thought to me. I feel more like I wanna stand on my own two feet from now on and make music with people...But jumping into some band doesn't feel like me at all.
Q: If we think about Nightwish's music from the technical and interpretational point of wiew. What do you think, how difficult songs they are to sing? Can some new singer sing them just like that?
A: For me it took many years to learn to sing Nightwish's music. The learning process came to the climax with the last album. It took so many years to learn to sing those songs, not because Tuomas would've intentionaly compose difficult songs for me to sing, but because my way of using my voice is so very different from normal rock singing. And ambitus in a music is bigger and wider than rock singers usually use. So I think some sort of basis are needed, but on the other hand I believe that the band has no intetion to continue with Tarja-clone to jump into my shoes. And that can be very good and positive thing, but of course the spirit in those songs will change if the singer is not trained.
Q: Judging by the album charts, the new collection [Highest Hopes] wasn't as succesfull in the Finnish charts as the previous Once album. So what do you think, was the band going down?
A: Well personally I can't agree with that. Collection is of course a collection of the band's career, possibly the best songs from each album. And many fans already had all of our albums and this collection was kinda extra bonus, and I don't believe that it would be a first symptom of band becoming less famous, because I really believed that the next album would've been the huge success. I really believed that, and I talked about it in public that it's gonna be the biggest thing for Nightwish. That's what I expected and that's what I was ready for. And the fact is that ht ealbum Once got attention in countries that didn't know Nightwish before. But let's see how it goes and how this change will affect. It'll be like..."
