This series is my favorite on your channel, to be honest. I watch even the episodes that feature decks I “dislike” or am not particularly interested in just because I know I’ll always walk away with a deeper knowledge of Tarot and a good amount of inspiration for my own practice. So thank you for keeping this series alive! ❤️

Thank you so much for sharing this series with us all. I always feel like we're having a sit-down chat together, and i always leave with a different perspective of the tarot, and often myself as well. Your vulnerability, authenticity, and patient energy that you create for yourself is palpable. Thank you, thank you, and thank you again!

I’d totally purchase a book written by you with all the different things you do with tarot. (Like this series)

I love that idea of assigning a self care tool to each card. I'm just learning and I'm using a huge art sketchbook and devoting a page or two to taking notes on each card. Now I think I'll brainstorm self care ideas to include in my notes.

every time a new tarot in practise episode goes live, I am so thankful for this series! hearing you interpreting cards for yourselves always gives me something to think about and I love how the meanings you come with are never generic. this time I realised that my perception of kings starts to shift! I always struggled with kings and could't wrap my head around their differences from the queens, no matter how many texts I read. but I guess I am becoming more comfortable with leadership which is interesting to consider to say the least :) and yes, coming up with self-care activities for every card sounds amazing! wow

This is one of my go to decks. I love the modernity and style of it. I agree, it is a nice, easy, and direct deck, and I appreciate how it is so accessible with messages especially when I feel super foggy. I love the moments you shared with it, and great insights into the cards that I definitely was nodding to. Oh, and the empress card: I totally agree with how you see it. I see it more as creativity and nurturing those seeds. I rarely see it as motherhood, and I’m a mother, but it doesn’t click for me that way. It clicks for me as a person making their own throne because they know just how they channel creativity and imagination. Great video! Also! Love the lipstick you were wearing at the beginning. Looks great on you. Oh! And I am working with a deck every month to see if it connects. Thanks for the inspiration to do that.

Thank you for another helpful video! 1000 percent with you about the empress! It is one of the cards I often struggle with and thank you for sharing you perspective - it was very helpful to me! I’m also going to take time to start to think about self care ideas linked to particular cards - it’s a lovely concept- thanks so much for sharing!

I enjoy how you utilize cards and readings, Katey. What I appreciated about this video is that the deck didn't distract you from the experience of reading. You didn't spend an abundance of time talking about the images except to appreciate the efforts of the creator. I liked the whole package. Learned about new ways to read, learned about your connection to numerology and loved your personal readings and discussion of same. Thanks a lot for great content and charming presentation. ☮️💟

I love love love this series so much. I always discover new tarot decks and seeing your reading style. Listening to your interpretation of the cards can't get enough. I do not own this deck myself but it is now on my wish list. It is a great modern rider waite clone and seems easy enough to shuffle and read with. Thanks Katey another great video.

I love watching your videos. You brought something to mind (it may be a new thought for me, but I may have been reminded strongly). In your discussion of the World card in shadow, you talked about perfectionism - which I can definitely relate to. My experience of it also manifests as not beginning things as well. It expresses itself as the stuckedness of not doing because I know I won't be satisfied....which then reminded me strongly of the Hanged Man in reverse. That was totally cool. 😁

Hey Derek! Thanks so much for your kinds words! Procrastination and avoidance are often tied up with perfectionism, so I definitely get what you're saying there, and I love how you've connected it back to the Hanged Man! :) x

I must say today March 1st I am not doing well. My anxiety is through the roof it literally feels like 12 midnight struck and a switch was flicked. I decided to watch these vids I had not yet watched because I find your voice and accent so comforting (idk why, hope I'm not sounding like a total creep) 😅 and anyway I am not disappointed. your interpretation of the empress card and that particular depiction in that deck is so beautiful. As a very fértil woman and mother, I used to wonder why women didn't want to be mothers and had a hard time understanding because I wanted to be one since I can remember; then I became one (at 19) and somehow have struggled to feel any "good at it" and am not at all the mother I "thought I'd be", and my children aren't the "children I thought I'd have" and so many times wondered why I even wanted to be one, and maybe it's because that's all I've ever known. Im a single mother, the daughter of a single mother who's a daughter to a single mother and so on. But, I've come to realize I am very pro choice about everything especially my body because I have struggled with my own autonomy so much. I think you are correct in the fact that the tarot community should definitely see the empress as more than just a mother, because it lends itself to choice and it doesn't do what has been done to us women for so long and that's just put us in a place of that being all that we are. I love tht the card depicts a young feminine not pregnant but in all her sexy yet modest yet nurturing yet dominant and soft energy, my sexuality and my sensuality also being things I've come to learn I struggle with. I'm sorry I hope this makes sense to someone because it just all came out of absolute nowhere and tht empress moment just spoke volumes to me, again it's a rough day up in my head 🥲. Anyway, Excellent content per usual 👏🏽

My card of the year is the Tower and I did not end up doing an exercise around it because it's the Tower lol. Enjoyed this video, great series. I ended up rehoming my copy of TMHT. Very high quality deck, very thoughtfully made, just not something I would get excited to use. I thought I'd love the art style because I've always been into web comics and animated series but nope I've found the opposite to be true for me when it comes to art style for tarot. (TMHT art is stunning especially the background colours. Just have found other art styles give me more to work with.)

Great video, Katey. I thought it was interesting that you mentioned having an issue with grounding (when you pulled the Empress card) and then you pulled three 4 cards!!!! To me numerologically, one of the aspects of the fours, in addition to the ones you mentioned, is grounding. So it’s like a triple message or reminder about grounding. I do have TMH and I feel similarly about it as you do. Glad to have an updated, modern, inclusive RWS derivative, but I’m not crazy wild passionate about it. Also the cartoony art style is not my favorite. However, it definitely will stay in my collection especially for when I do readings for others.

I love the idea of looking at the “secondary” birth card(s) as a teacher. Just now applying that reading to my own birth cards, it seems like a very helpful framing. I also like the idea of assigning a self-care activity to each card. A bit of a project! This series is just great, it’s both so fun and informative.

I have this deck and feel similarly about it. Its a definite keeper, but not earth shattering. I can use it to read for just about anyone and they can identify with the cards without it seeming to be too esoteric or mystic.. or out there (Hello Mary-El, I'm looking at you!) And also not too fluffy , not too fantasy style, not too emo, not too .. thats this not deck, it's not too much of anything I see people thinking of as negative and just the right amount of what it should be.

Thanks for the video, really liked the fun self-care associations with the tarot! I feel very similarly about This Might Hurt. I think it would have been the perfect deck for teenage me starting out on my tarot journey and it excites me that it exists for future tarot practitioners to come, but isn't really something that I need in my life now, since there are other more revolutionary decks (like the Next World) that really speaks to the important things happening currently :-)

I just loved this video. Thank you for your insight! I also enjoy doing the card of the year- you mentioned it might not be predictive and I usually agree. At the end of 2019, my 2020 card of the year was the hermit. I remember throwing a fit because I wanted to be anything other than the hermit for the upcoming year. And then covid hit and I realized this card was predicting for me. Weren’t we all hermits that year? I meditated on the hermit for the year and now it’s a near and dear card. I love that the meaning of the card changed for me. Strength sounds like a great card of the year! I hope it teaches you so much for the year ❤️

fellow strength card of the year person!! :] also, i remember watching a while ago the self-care activities vid from the therapeutic tarot playlist of yours and seeing that the blog post is privated now, as you mentioned; i was wondering if you'd be comfortable sharing your prompts through something else like a google doc or something of the sort? i realize it doesn't mean all will necessarily apply to me, but as someone who might not be able to think up 78 different activities/prompts, i feel like it would be helpful!! i completely understand if not though, of course

I love this deck, from all the videos I've seen I want it! I'm just so unsure though because the three of swords is just so intense....swords through a bird...I don't understand this and it makes me upset when I see it. Also I can't seem to find it in Australia...did you get yours overseas?
