I live in Newzealand and I can’t get garba grass here. So is it alright if I do the ritual with only raw rice, sesame seeds , coin and water? Would that be accepted? Please advice. Also can I face any direction while I do this ritual?

I was able to obtain Dharba Grass via internet search on Google for 'Dharba grass' -- it is also spelled darbha and I've seen reference to Kusha grass. It is used in India temple ceremonies too.
