I was born there in 1948, lived on cedar st. Walked the sponge docks many times, swam in buyou and fished. It's a beautiful town, if your in Fla, you should visit Tarpon Springs. You won,t regret it.

OPA!!! Got back from my Italian dinner, stuffed to the gills, but couldn't wait to watch the Tarpon Springs video! All I saw was more food I wanted to eat, LOL! Randy, this video was amazing! The cinematography, the narration, the music, the information on all the things to do, eat, and see in the area, it was just spectacular! But cheese is my fave, so I was dying looking at that saganaki, LOL! I was celebrating getting a new job tonight! As much as I'm dying to move to Florida, I got to get the money to do so, so I'm starting the new job April 10th and I'll have more money to contribute to your videos! dear Randy; I hope you are well, it's been a while since I watched your video (due to work overload, I don't have much time to watch youtube). otherwise, i didn't know there was a greg community in florida. for information, the greeks were dominated for a long time by the ottoman empire (current turkey), suddenly the greeks were influenced by the ottomans and we find that there is a lot of resemblance in the greek and turkish gastronomy. Good luck for the future.

We live near Tampa and visited Tarpon Springs a few weeks ago. Didnt have any idea where to go but we just walked. Ate at Mama’s. Was pretty good. TampaAerialMedia, excellently done video. Thanks very much, as I'll be there in mid July. This gives me a lot of things to consider in addition to the cruise out of Dodecanese Blvd.'s dock. May I point out that I just went to Wikipedia to confirm a suspicion I had? I found that Dodecanese is Greek for "12 islands", is pronounced dough-deck-uh-KNEES, and is named for a group of Gk. islands of the same name.
