Does this mod make ceiling jumps required? If not, then the original is slightly harder than this, and people beat it in 3 hours. (except the bosses are easier ofc)

yeah then the platforming in this mod is actually slightly EASIER than the original for adding ceiling jumps as another possible option. pixel/frame perfect movement every 10th frame isnt really that bad for the world top players tbh.

Yes, I buffed the bosses and one of the EX colonel attacks was rewritten for higher difficulty/entertainment. Only the bosses shown in this video were buffed since I made this specifically for the video. These are not at all possible for a human to beat as they require literally frame perfect input to not die. For example attack 4 of EX colonel requires jumping through the clusters to survive as the gaps are too small for your hitbox. The kid only survives by the combination of the speed of the bullet, and his jumping speed, allowing him to effectively teleport around the bullet hitboxes. This only works the frame before they touch the kid.

First phase is manageable, I've beaten it. Phase 2 is when I started buffing to "TAS Only" level. I was aiming for having the bosses become harder and harder until it reaches EX Colonel which requires sustained frame perfect input to beat an attack. This was to make it so that the run climaxes at the end, instead of just having extreme bullet spam the whole way.

I stopped wanting to work on it for a few reasons over time. The first was that I don't think my boss fights are very good, they get as good of damage as possible but they don't move around. Even without screwing around those took 20+ hours each, so seeing how much more work there is to be done on those is very discouraging. The second was things like people making comments about how there's no 1 frames etc. Since I didn't decompile K2, and I was recording at 50fps for a perfect recording, 1 frames were impossible. Only cactus is possible at 50 fps since both shift keys are the same key in hourglass. It didn't bug me at first, but after a while I felt it wouldn't meet the platforming quality of my K3 TAS. The third reason is that I know boss rush is going to take me an eternity to complete at a satisfactory level, somewhere around 100+ hours not including big kid. For these reasons the K2 TAS is still at the start of the Solgryn fight, which was where I ended on the last live stream I did. It might eventually be finished, but at this point I'm not sure that I ever will.

Kamilia's creator for sure not, poorly made game, no good design, repetitive as Hell, just a bad game no matter where you look at it , if its difficulty wise Or design wise Or dev wise since the creator doesnt even test his crap

Used a private decompiler to get the game maker project file, then edited the game source and recompiled it like usual.

wdym by *private* decompiler? Can you get one off the internet?

By private I mean there's no public link on the internet as far as I know, and I don't share private files. There is a game maker decompiler available on the internet, but that one doesn't work on *protected* games like this one.

The software hourglass sits between all the APIs, both graphical and OS related. This allows it to do things like fake the current time on the computer. Since most random number generators in games are generally based on time or frames since boot, this allows the RNG to be the same each time the run is played back. It appears that you could manually set the initial time before the game starts, but I've never gotten hourglass to actually use it. E.g. It might have been 90 hours since my computer was turned on, but hourglass will just say the current time is 60,000 milliseconds at the start of the game every time. Side note: I have only run into one thing so far which was not the same thing every time. The rocks in the Kamilia 2 guy fight are always random even under hourglass which is a pain >.> Haven't taken the time yet to figure out what they did to cause that.
