I feel like there should have been a dash meter to which the player could have used for a speed boost. Speedy is known for his speed, but it feels awkward that he's speeding up only in slopes ^^;

No, it's a licensed snes game, just likely inspired in some aspects by sonic There is even a bootleg sonic reskin of this game.

No, it was released. I used to play this a lot as a kid. I never owned any Sega systems, so it was about as close to Sonic as I got.

@@betabootlegitimate8079 Yeah, the game that didn't get to released, is the Sonic 4 bootleg hack, which is the exact same game, but Speedy is replaced by Sonic, and he has to save Mario's for some reason...😅
