exactly, i made a 30 second speedrun level, and the time i beat it was when it was only 4 seconds left on the timer, but someone beat it when the timer was at 26 seconds left. wtf?
When you move so quickly that the time bonus takes longer than the level: “The worst thing about being faster than light is you can only live in darkness”
This TAS: - 30% gameplay - 30% bosses - 40% waiting for 50K points bonus to count down. Joke appart, this is the only reason why Sonic 1 and 2 are timed with IGT instead of RTA for human played speedruns, for those who don't know.
He inhaled all 7 Super Emeralds, 7 Sol Emeralds, the Master Emerald, the Secret Rings, the Dragon Balls, the Super Dragon Balls, and the Infinity Stones.
*Guy finished Green Hills act 1 in 10 seconds* Me: He can’t get faster than this, right? *Guy finished Green Hills act 2 in 8 seconds* Me: That’s the fastest, right? *Guy finished Marble act 1 in 7 seconds* Me: For fuck’s sake...
Sonic at any given moment in this: Rollin’ around at the speed of sound! Immediately after getting some water in his shoes: WET SOCKS! MY ONLY WEAKNESS!
Sonic: I am speed Your too slow! Sonic speed! Come on step it up! *Various sonic voice clips glitches and plays at the same time* Aww yeah this is happenin! *blasts through all the levels with all the emeralds without problem and finally stops robotnick* And thats all folks! *waggles his finger while the looney tunes ending theme plays*
I can complete Green Hill Act 1 in one minute using a composite classic Sonic moveset, but with just speed and TAS you can complete to whole zone in thirty-nine seconds.
It's a programming error. Sonic's acceleration is really HIGH in this game. As a consequence, the desacceleration too. When Sonic rolls, he is desaccelerating much faster than the original game, until get a speed of 0 (Zero). But he is inside a tunnel, and he can't get stuck on the tunnel right? So the game add a little speed to Sonic get out... but he desaccelerates immediately and speed is Zero again and he gets stuck again... it's a loop! This is what happens at this part of credits... really bizarre!
