[TAS] Super Smash Bros. 4 3DS Smash Run: All Stats Maxed Out (Captain Falcon, No Damage) 

Many of you complaining about the lack of a final battle seem to be incapable of reading words on a screen: The final battle _would not have played back properly_ *because of the desync I mentioned at the literal start of the video* Since my last attempt at TASing this game, they've improved the input recording and savestate issues to the point where a TAS can stay relatively in sync when isolated from stuff like save files. Unfortunately, it still has its issues, which I was narrowly able to avoid thanks to saving some extra savestates at the start of the match. As for the actual TAS itself: It's really basic, all things considered. Citra still has the bug where it erases all input for the frame a savestate is reloaded, which meant that I couldn't easily do complicated things even if I wanted to. There was a number of RNG manipulations in order to get the hard challenges when entering the doors, and some smaller ones to get wanted stat boosts over others.

Smash Run in Ultimate would have been legendary..

Smash Run is one of my all time favourite modes, I’ll never forget when I got max speed on Sonic and got the race to the finish event when playing with a friend

I've always wanted to see a tas going as high as possible in the climbing final battle. I've always wondered if the maximum height caps out at some point of if it goes on forever

If Sakurai ever decided to add just one more gamemode and it ended being Smash Run i'd definetly be very happy with that, this mode is very fun!

My God this is the last mode I will ever ask for Smash Ult. I loved this shit so much. With some extra options and people fighting each other on map it would be godlike.

Smash Run was dope, I didn't realize how much I missed it until now.

I miss this mode so much. I love how the enemies in it are enemies from the same games that the fighters in smash come from.

I always played this mode without those special items and that's how I practiced teching when at high damaged range. Every time I play this mode, it's a different experience every time. It feels really exhilarating trying to survive all the enemies that attack you and it feels all the more rewarding when you don't even die. I miss this mode and wish Ultimate had it.

I did not know max stats were even possible in everything for Smash Run.

I still play Smash Run every now and again on my 3DS, and the closest I've gotten to this was 4 stats maxed and the other 2 both in the 600 range.

I've played Smash Run so many times that I was actually extremely close to getting 1k in all stats a few times.

I had so much fun with Smash Run, I wish they'd bring something like it back for Ultimate

Imagine doing really well in Smash Run and the final battle is Run against a 400 speed Sonic Yeah super fun mode

I love Smash run since I've played this game back in 2019 as 13 years old kid "I wish Nintendo can bring back Smash run in SSbro Ultimate on the Nintendo switch so people can enjoy playing it"

Y'know, getting to max stats is actually easier than you think. Just use Ness as he has the best kit for this mode. F-smash and PSI Magnet will basically reflect or absorb half the moves in the mode, double jump reaches very high and is floaty so it makes climbing up tall structures a piece of cake. PK Flash is so strong that it can even knock down the Reaper when fully charged. PK Fire is easy to control and hits multiple times so can get rid of enemies like Cryogonal and Polar Bear within seconds when spammed (and you know how much us Ness mains love spamming PK Fire). And last of all, PK Thunder can be controlled so it can hit flying or out-of-range enemies, as well as PKF2 being useful for similar reasons to Flash and double jump). Something that should be taken into note (also seen in this video) is that if you go a platform in any four corners of the map you're more than likely to encounter one or more of the boss enemies, regardless of how over or underleveled you are. Quick tip: you can cheese these fights by using the Hammer power to gain a hammer and deal insane amounts of damage to them in one go, almost surely killing them in seconds. Make sure to stack this with the Invincibility power so that enemies with armor can't hurt you back while you have the hammer. Usually these powers let you use them multiple times, so by the time you've worn them out completely, you should've gained enough stat boosts that you'd be strong enough to take on the rest by yourself. You can also use this strat to cheese Bonus rooms consisting of enemy waves with Bosses in them and Crystal Smash challenges labelled "Hard". That's about it, really.

this would be a really interesting mode to optimize. i know it's a straight 5-minute time limit, but how would you get all stats maxed out as fast as possible? what route would you take? what character would you pick? what if you used custom moves?

This is really awesome, it's like you know where EVERYTHING is! Although, something just doesn't sit right with me about leaving behind so many buffs lol but I know you know what you're doing.

If you ever do something like this again, maybe you should enlarge the bottom screen a bit so we can track your progress better.

Nice item plays. I had good times in this mode and Smash 3DS as a whole. The different powers were interesting, but usually I just focused on finding chests. Got in the tunnel at 5:00 once with a hacked mii and a lucky walljump.

I wish you could chose the ending event so that you can focus on certain stats. I liked picking fast character and hoping to get the race event where I destroy absolutely everyone.
