@@raspytv6684 Whatever dude lol. Sounds like your extent of knowledge comes from Call of Duty and Wikipedia. Every British unit you’ve listed has been surpassed by Delta, ST6, Rangers etc years ago through combat experience alone and funding. British Pathfinders and Royal Marines? Those dudes aren’t even special operations. Also the length of a selection has nothing to do with the competency of a unit. And you’re right Rangers aren’t special forces, because those are green berets. Rangers are apart of JSOC which the Army Special Forces are not. I like the Brits. Delta Force wouldn’t exist without the SAS and the Rangers wouldn’t exist without the British commandos of WW2. Maybe you should try out for one of those British units you listed and you’ll quickly realize Rangers are much more than just a SF support group.

I remember a while ago during the 2nd Gulf war,an American general said the S.A.S doesn’t need to rely on gadgets,they’ll get the job done with a toothbrush. And Delta and S.A.S/S.B.S work remarkably well together. In Iraq (can’t remember the village) both forces were housed in the same building,they knocked through a dividing wall and Thursday night would be their BBQ night and get together. Total and utmost respect to everyone on both sides of the pond.

All respect to the SAS, from a former Brit infantryman. However, in Andy McNab's book 7 Troop, he states that after leaving the service, former members of the regiment have a high suicide rate. I hope that the British government is now offering psychological help to these brave warriors, who deserve all the help on offer. Read 7 Troop, it's a sad story but one that should be known.

It's a high suicide rate for any ex-SF operators. Very sad how much they give, and how poorly they are looked after. They are essentially the major league professional athletes of our militaries, which in my books means they are a fair bit more important than any sport's athlete, and yet they don't receive even a fraction of the medical care, the pay, or the respect when they are done. It's a thankless job that asks everything of you, and offers you little to nothing in return beyond the satisfaction of knowing you played a vital role in defending your country... a country, mind you, that is filled with people who hate you, and led by idiots (mostly) that you don't understand.
@robwilton9539
@robwilton9539 11 месяцев назад
It is a very sad fact that many ex-forces personnel do commit suicide. Not just special forces although the transition from super high efficiency and effectiveness to the civilian world of ineptitude and inadequacy would undoubtedly seem even more unbearable to them. Add to this the realisation that the life that made you feel alive was now over and depression is almost inevitable.

It's commonly said that there is no problem that cannot be resolved by the application of high explosives. It seems that we can now add to that the following. There is no mission or problem that cannot be resolved or eliminated by the stealthy and determined application of combined SAS, SEAL TEAM 6, DELTA, SBS, Parachute Regiment, Rangers and their assets. This bond, this standing together and having each other's backs must always and forever stand firm. We are stronger together than apart. As an American I thank the British military, most notably the SAS and their other special operations assets. Thank you for your courage, skill, determination and mindset to ALWAYS win, regardless of the odds. You truly are a formidable force. Thank you all for your service. Okay guys i gotta question. So i know the whole thing about the shortage of desert camouflage, so the marines had alot of woodland vest,and bio gear. But i have seen alot of british sas and us sf wearing the exact same thing. Iread they realized there was more green than they thought and the woodland helped break up your silhouette in an urban enviroment. You would think the tier 1 guys would for sure have the proper equipment. So my question is, did they just decide to wear the same kit as their american counterparts or where they short on desert camo also?

Chris Needham Indeed, I was lucky enough as a young teenager to witness the storming of the Iranian embassy on TV (bunked off school). Ever since then I’ve been a huge follower of our special forces and what they do for our country. True warriors in every sense of the word, we owe them all a debt of gratitude for what they do and for the most part we will never find out about. This country as a whole should be more grateful and respectful of all our armed forces and veterans and should put them before immigrants and the rest of us, sadly we have veterans sleeping on the streets while we have isis members and sympathisers scrounging off the state and being given housing. Disgusting, I’m so ashamed of our country and what it has become🤬

@@UAPJedi Yeah mate I agree with everything you said, it sickens me to hear how they don't always get the best support from our government. There should be no expense spared for all our forces, if they're willing to risk their lives they should get given whatever kit they need for the job and they shouldn't need to struggle for anything once retired from our armed forces, like you say it sometimes feels like our politicians care more about being seen to give our enemies and terrorists a fair go.

@@yourdeath7820 I don't know mate, it pisses me right off. Only last week I watched a documentary about people claiming benefits. It was showing a guy from Romania who had come over on a coach full of other men, he was here to claim enough benefits to send enough home every week so that after 10 years he had worked it out he'd have been given enough to build a big new house back home. He was over here on his own but said he was allowed to claim benefits for all his kids who aren't even in this country? How the fuck does that work? Handouts to build a house, never paid a penny into our country yet is allowed to come over to claim that much in handouts and for kids thousands of miles away. He said him and his mates weren't here to work, also they were all preparing a big meal on TV and he said we don't have any money so we steal all our food from the shops, stuff like this winds me right up. How can that shit be right and allowed to happen? And if you speak out against it, you're seen as a fuckin racist, there's nothing great about Britain these days.
