I don’t usually get as upset as I am right now, in part one of this excellent video (watched straight before watching this Pt2)) I learned of two comrades who were sadly killed in the C-130 incident, and now I find another comrade killed in the Puma accident. Lest We Forget, I salute you all. I don’t think anyone could ever really put into words what this country and the free world owe the men, women, and animals that paid the ultimate price, but I think Sir Winston Churchill put it best when he said “Never in the field of human conflict has so much been owed, by so many, to so few………..” Amen Sir Winston Churchill. I remember doing strike ops with the SAS in the weeks after Hollingsworth was killed. I was with 2 Rifles in Basra at the time. My platoon was to secure the house once the SAS had done the high risk entry. They placed C4 on the gates to the compound, the blasts from the gates blew every door in the house. After that we came under heavy fire, once the prisoners where secure, a warrior had to reverse through a wall to allow us to extract, as bullets poured into the front yard. It was highlight of my career, getting to work with the superhero’s. All of the SAS lads where humble, friendly and scary as fuck.

@beast4517
@beast4517 3 года назад
@@Bullet-Tooth-Tony- im not an expert, but from my experience they was more specialised in tracking and neutralising high risk targets ie kicking doors/intelligence led ops. on the ops i did non special forces snipers cover as we provided the outside protection so they could concentrate on breaching the house. I couldnt say about the other ops they did, as i only participated when they needed armoured infantry support.

3500 kills to 18 deaths is very impressive and 4 of those deaths were from faults with the helicopters so really its just 14 deaths due to the enemy. and these forces were not after regular terrorists but high profile targets with better protection and training than regular terror squads. with more technology these spec ops troops are only gonna get better and better and hopefully have a zero casualty rate.
