Please try to include the prize task at the beginning as this is an essential part. Thank you for getting this up though, your effort is appreciated. 👍
I think this was the task that defined taskmaster as a classic and with much greatness to come. The first proper task and I love Roisin’s reaction expecting a “melon buffet”. This was the first series so the contestants didn’t know the little quirks and tricks that would be played on them which I think made the first few series very special. Now everyone knows and expects the sort of tricks that will be played on them so we often don’t get a reaction as good as Roisin’s melon buffet.
You should never take the initial tasks for granted. If they say "there's melon in there", never assume it's ready cut! Alex measuring things in weird quantities like mice is a running joke on the show. Thanks for taking the time to get this up there - TM is my favourite show. There have been about 17 seasons so far, plus regional variants in other countries (my local one here in New Zealand - now on series 5 - is regarded as one of the best), though none measure up to the British original.
I follow two other channels which do Taskmaster reactions, perhaps worth checking out how they avoid the copyright strikes. The channels are NeilTalks and AdamfromFWCI. Neil recently had to reupload a few episodes, but I don't think I've seen Adam have many issues. Thanks for the attempt though, it's fun to rewatch these things with your reactions to them!
If you want more Taskmaster reactions, check out David vs. Film. He's done the first 3 seasons and is just about to start the 4th, and his reactions are pretty much full episodes.
Neil quit again, because his latest kept getting removed. I understand why TM/Avalon doesn't want these kind of things, but it sucks because Taskmaster is amazing, and seeing other people witness soome of the tasks for the frst time is amazing.
Me and my wife Came upon your channel while on youtube We found your content. Great. And by the way, thank you for your service being a teacher is a thankless job. Keep up the great work. You guys have a blessed day and may god bless you and your family
This show was a lifesaver during lockdown. I got into the show around series 7 and binged from the first on catch up. Many shows take a few series to get going but as soon as Romesh smashes the s**t out of that watermelon it was on all cylinders!😂
Thanks for the effort. Perhaps you could sneak the prize task in when you move on to season 2 by splitting it up into 5 segments. The prize tasks are often very funny in their own right.
Normally i'd wait and watch all 4 in one go, but this is perefct for the amount of beer i have left in my can. At 11-30 am before bed yes i do keep unsociable hours, and love it! Lol
Great stuff, and yep this one might me more of a nightmare to get up here (noticed part 2 has been removed already) you could always post to daily motion and link it back here anyway cool reactions and great show, thanking yous!
"They really couldn't have scooped up all that juice..." That is literally the point of the tarp on the floor. Taskmaster is a television show not a youtube channel, they don't half-ass things... They have money to pay someone to lick it up if they so wished.
The beginning , one of the first original offerings from freeview comedy repeats channel ' Dave' and a massive success for them taking a chance . Alex Horne is the shows creator and the music you couldn't play is performed by the Horne section - his band . A pity you couldn't show the opening task , Gregg and Alex were still finding their feet as the fearsome Taskmaster and slightly abused assistant . The melon task was a simple opened , if a bit yucky with Tim and Romesh's brutal approach winning . I'm glad you decided to do the show although I did wonder if you might have problems , after 17 series it has now been taken over by C4 one of the bigger broadcasters .
It was great from the start. But this was also a brand new format never done before, with a network not completely sure. As the series go on, everything involved starts to evolve and get better. The editing grows in ability rapidly, the writing gets better, the understanding of how to write tasks to get the most out of people gets better, the budget increases, they go from leasing to buying the house, they get a proper set with better cameras and sound in a theatre instead of the setup in this first series where its very basic.
you see the plastic sheet in the room. so the way they measure is the weigh in the whole room. whatever is in and on the sheets before and after. thats how you know how much is inside them
it's cool they put it all for free on youtube. But lame that they are so toxic about this copyright stuff. Especially for such an old season. The melon task is so great because of the contrast. Romesh helped as much making it legendary as Roisin. The brilliance of the concept is that nobody knows what or how the other people did the task.
There are quite a few series of these now. In the uk watermelon isn't as much of a thing as in the US. When it comes to the flavour of green sweets fie example it would be lime or apple then maybe watermelon if the company was American or American influenced.
A couple of other channels do the show without a giant problem with copyright ( obviously some issues ) -- I'm not sure how, but it might be worth a look. The show is great fun and has fans all round the world ( good for reaction views ). Hopefully your copyright battle gets easier.
Lots of people watch first season to see there favourite comedian but as time went by discovered all unique in there own way , missed opportunity to prize tasks like to See you both join in
Weird that you are having copyright issues seen several reactions doing full episodes, you forgot the prize task can be some of the best banter with Greg and the contestants
It's a question of interpretation, but there was a potential loop-hole in the water melon task. The card said "the time starts when YOU open the door". They could have persuaded someone else to open it for them, and then have no time restriction.
That is the beauty of this show. If you can find a loophole you can exploit it! Some games are deliberately devised to see if the participants notice these loopholes.
Eat as much watermelon as you can, you have one minute, your time starts when you open the door to the lab... If someone opens the door for them and they take their time, eat all the melon then open the door I'd award them zero points, because they didn't eat any in that minute. 😂
@@shaneord7527 I don’t remember the exact wording, and I can’t play it back right now, but it didn’t say they had to eat it during that minute. Again it’s a question of interpretation, but ”you have one minute” doesn’t necessarily mean you have to use that minute.
