Dr. Ravichandar, the founder of Nandha Palace, had converted his dream into reality by starting an Andhra Style Family Restaurant at Minerva Circle, Bangalore as a managing partner in 1989. He named the Restaurant “Hotel Nandhini Deluxe” in memory of the female character in the movie ( Tamil film - Manadhil urudhi vendum ).
In 1997 Dr. Ravichandar began to independently run his dream venture by renaming it to Nandhana Palace. Dedicating the brand of Nandhana (meaning “daughter” in Sanskrit) to his daughters. Amidst all the hardships, Nandhana is now built into a celebrated new stand-alone brand altogether. Winning numerous recognition's and awards, today Nandhana holds the legacy of being one of the pioneers in introducing Andhra Cuisine to Bangalore.
Such a place providing authentic Andhra food has started their first branch in Chennai at OMR, Egattur. Hearing about this we decided to visit and taste their food. We ordered their signature dishes like Drumstick soup, Carrot 65, Bamboo Chicken, Chicken Kshatriya, Andhra chilli chicken, Supreme boneless chicken Biriyani, Nandhana's special Non-Veg Meals and finished off with a yummy Elaneer payasam.
