Jamie mindlessly thinking he was told to flip over a glass filled with liquid followed by Ben calmly and quickly correcting him , then followed by everyone not saying anything and moving on from it is the embodiment of the group's dynamic. Hilarious
A few weeks ago, I mindlessly wanted to look at the bottom of a cup with liquid still in it and totally forgot what I was doing. I caught myself, but my friends said I was so convincing in making it look like I was about to pour it. Little did they know...
I'm so grateful for the way you've designed these 12 Days episodes. Having a hard time feeling merry this year, but every episode gets me into the spirit for a little while. Thank you. ❄️
Honestly I love when the guys don’t like something because they’re always polite about it but it does mean they’re being truthful and I appreciate that
Considering what Ben said on the turkey alternatives, I'd love to see the boys have a Christmas cook-off. Might be a bit late for this year, but something for next? With the brief being to cook the main course of a Christmas dinner that isn't traditional, but invokes all the feelings.
about five minutes before I watched this video my mom gave my (english) roommate a light-up snowglobe gin liqueur bottle (orange instead of clementine) and we were marveling at how wild it was and how we'd never seen anything like it before and then here it is again! also hey this video is how I found out that pigs in blankets and pigs in a blanket are two slightly different things
"Next for the main affair." "Ooh, Ebbers, what are we doing?" "A little sweet treat to finish us off" Whilst having the boys in blindfolds and silk pyjamas...Yep. Sure. Classic. Checks out.
Initially I thought the silk Pajamas was just Ebbers using the shop budget to get outfits for himself... But I'm sure your idea played into it as well.
@@meezmayhem7946 You must be new here... Ebbers has an Innuendo score for a reason. Also, no one is afraid of Gays, that's linguistic nonsense by Woketards.
The pjs have baubles on so I assume he was going for festive pjs, they're very subtly festive though, so missed the mark a bit. But still very pretty ☺
@@TheBlobblinMaster Do yourself a favour and indulge in a Creme Egg! you will probably develop a habit but its worth it!!! Have a great Christmas and stay safe.
I live in the US (Missouri to be specific) and I received the turkey and stuffing crisps (or to us here, chips 😁) in a Universal Yums box last year. I was excited to see you guys eating something that I had actually already tried for once. Love the videos. Merry Christmas!
I’ve been trying to get that M&S Clementine Gin for weeks now - sold out every time. I don’t even drink gin, but I want that light up snow globe for Christmas with an inexplicable passion.
Love the matching pajamas! In my youth, my grandmother always gifted each grandchild with matching pj’s. And we all had to put them on first thing at the family Christmas. So comfy and fun. Several of my cousins do it now with their grandkids. So many good memories!
Well, that's given me another course for Wigilia (which might make a good Sorted guest episode - it's the Polish Christmas Eve evening meal running to 12 courses, based around fish and vegetable dishes since it's traditionally ending a religious fast).
The four of you looked like some 70's Soul act in your matching PJ's 😆 Funny how most of the flavour combos tasted, you couldn't work out what they were until you were told though? Mackie's crisps are pretty popular up here in Scotland, my favourite being their Haggis & Cracked Black Pepper. They also have another festive flavour out which is Boxing Day Curry. They're based not to far from me & are right beside Cairn O'Mohr Fruit Wines. Definitely a place you want to visit if you're up this way sometime soon.
I honestly love what Jamie did there, because Sorted has a huge audience outside the UK, and while I knew cadbury was a chocolate brand, it’s highly likely that many people did not.
Jamie asking what the Cadbury guy did 200 years ago is though funny to the team very helpful for anyone not British since presumably he could have purely been into any kind of environmentally friendly business and the great grandson just applied it to the chocolate trade.
It's fascinating that when you have no idea what you are tasting, you are automatically hesitant towards it. But as soon as it gets a label, known taste or even a good story. You go "oow that's good, isn't it!"
I love your content so very much. you're all like brothers to me, but somehow without the drama. lol. Greetings, The Happiest of Holidays and a spectacular New Year from your #1 fan across the pond. xox
Loving this way of highlighting various festive alternatives/themed treats much more than last year’s holiday pretentious “ingredients” eps that were just 80% different chocolates. Feels a lot more..good natured? for lack of a better word.
Wait a tick….am I just learning that the brits have a very different (and apparently much better) definition of what a “pig in a blanket” is? Because that is definitely NOT the version we have here in the middle of the States.
I’m loving the PJs. Have to admit they just look like gorgeous Asian-style PJs, and I can’t see the ‘Christmas’ in the pattern, but I love them. V stylish. And Ben definitely wins the ‘manly Chef chest hair’ badge over the Normals, who look like they all wax… ;)
Would love to see more vegan/vegetarian/pescatarian Christmas dishes!!! I’ve been making salmon each year and as delicious it is, I need a change. Plus most of my family is vegetarian/vegan, so we’ve never been able to share the main dish, which is a shame.
I wish my American markets had Christmas food offerings this interesting and apparently tasty. We do get some Christmas specialties, but I've not seen anything I'd like to try as a couple of these. Also, it used to be that Trader Joe's had Christmas liqueur cakes in several flavors that were really nice (and reasonably priced) but they haven't had them for several years. I miss those.
The past few years have been rough and holidays have been hard, but y'all's festive content and cozy pajama vibes this time of the year never fails to put me in the holiday spirit. I love you all so much, thank you for doing what you do!
So their thinking is "Sparkling Wine + Ribena = Like a snakebite", like they've never heard of Kir Royale. So they might not be exactly normal anymore, but they are certainly basic
“Can someone explain the pyjamas?” “Well… it’s Christmas.” Yeah that’s my go to explanation for every odd thing I do during the month of December as well. 😂
Reviews are finally going back to the original two-person format and I love it! Pleasant reminder that times are (hopefully) getting better:) also the interactions and banter with the OG4 is definitely worth looking forward to!
Thank you for the great episodes!! To the editors...please don't include the mouth sounds. They are unnecessary, and make it unwatchable for many of us. :(
I really like the video! But a suggestion to the editor next time: Could the graphics showing what they are tasting be put at the top? Currently when watching with subtitles, the subtitles completely covers it 😅
Well I’m terms of DIY Xmas food gifts, this year I’m making “Christmas Crack” and for the first time, my mother has handed over the responsibility of making the biscuits my family has had at EVERY xmas for the past 30+ years- I believe they’re called “Kourabiedes”?- basically little round balls of almond meal shortbread, with a single clove in them and rolled in icing sugar! 🤤 🥰 It’s my first time making them solo- so *no pressure*😅😩🤞🙏
Considering there was a three bird roast, with bacon on top so 4 meats in total, being confused with a meat alternative just shows how far meat alternatives have come
The idea of Christmas flavored potato chips is so British and so fun! We don’t have that concept really in the US. Our chips stay the same year round. However, popcorn for Christmas is a big thing! Stores sell giant tins covered in cheesy Christmas scenes filled with butter, cheese, or caramel popcorn (or often compartments with each) that people will give to friends or bring to parties. As the child of a teacher, we would sometimes end up with multiple tins of popcorn in the house every year because it was a popular gift for teachers. (My mom also has a massive collection of Christmas mugs and teacher themed ornaments for the same reason.) Now, it’s getting to be a little old-fashioned, but I think making the flavors more creative could make it more popular again. I think we’re all a bit over neon orange colored cheese popcorn.
Love the three bird turkey replacement. Guinea fowl is our chosen Xmas lunch, usually in saffron and ginger sauce, with a (small) amount of boiled potatoes and some special rice (varies from year to year). I never found the recipe: bizarrely, I dreamed it: I do that sort of thing from time to time... This way, you don't end up with kilos of turkey that you get sick of after a few days. Oh, and just to stir up a bit of controversy: I love Brussels sprouts!
As a single person I buy a turkey tenderloin. The package contains two, a pound each (2.2 kg), already marinated. The second can be frozen for later, they are delicious and cook quickly.
Jamie, most bacon flavoured crisps are not vegan, they have whey powder in them. which gets on my nerves as both my son and myself cant have them due to milk allergies :(
Idk if this is to late but if you ever do Christmas foods from around the world, you should definitely try Swedish cheesecake (ostkaka), it's an delicious cake with made a sweet pancake like batter but with almonds, both taste of bitter and pieces of sweet. And cheese part comes form rennet that you mixes in to milk or cream curdles... Which sounds disgusting but it's not cheesy just makes a really nice chew and awsome consistent. It sounds weird but it's my favourite Christmas desert! Served with raspberry and blueberry jam.
We did our own DIY pigs in blankets this year before watching this video with just normal sized sausages and streaky bacon from the local butcher. Delicious! A lot of these things sound lovely too
I'd personally go for the Christmas Porter. Either drink it with some meats during dinner, or even drink it almost as a digestif at the end (if Jamie is to be trusted on how strong the flavor is).
I have watched this video multiple times and the last couple of days when I've heard it the eating noises when Mike and Barry are eating the chips(crisps) seems so much louder. I don't know if youtube is trying to make Sorted an ASMR channel or if I have developed a hyper sensitivity to the sound of people eating lol.
I love the idea of the popcorn. I'd probably try to DIY it, because once you nail the spice mix, you can just make a big batch, put it in a shaker, and be set through to Valentine's Day.
I would probebly diy it. I didn't do culinary school for nothing. And every year on the day of Christmaseve , my son is free from school. And we love to bake together . For that evening and the 1st day Christmas ( we in de Netherlands have 2 days ) we make all canopies and a cake . I am happy that my son shares the same passion in cooking & baking 😋 it's always a fun day in the kitchen , the day before Christmas.
