In early 1980s I lived in atsugi near Tokyo and when I moved to Hawaii I bought my first boat from selling fish I speared. Always 3 prong with rubber sling but I shared the same enjoyment. Ordered this jerky from the UK and came within 2 weeks via standard airmail. The taste is absolute sensational and you can taste the freshness of the fish from around the island. i think it's the first time ive actually seen someone else gut a fish by the gills like that. my dad taught me to do this with trout when i was very little, and everyone always looked at me funny when gutting fish that way.

Now that I am older, it makes me happy seeing a RU-vidr that I like expanding beyond the platform, guaranteeing that they will continue to do well regardless if they suddenly stop uploading videos someday... I've seen many RU-vidrs I liked simple disapear from the internet, and from time to time I can't help but reminisce about them and hope they are well doing whatever they are doing now... I probably think this way even more now, because I've only just found out a few days ago that a RU-vidr I loved was batling addiction and stuff passed away months ago...

My favorite part was the thinner pieces that crackle apart when you bite them ❤If there is a way to shave the slices even thinner I bet the jerky would really pop off even more. My order of jerky arrived here in the US a few weeks ago and it's really good! For those who are worried it might have an overly "fishy" taste, it very much does not. The primary flavor is just the delicious teriyaki-style marinade. Texturally, it is really very similar to beef or turkey jerky. You can definitely tell you are eating fish jerky, but it is a subtle flavor undertone, not overpowering. And quite enjoyable!

In the US, you should partner with Uwajimaya, the flagship store is in Seattle! People from all around the Western US go there, even from Canada! The jerky selection is nothing but American beef jerky and Japanese squid/small whole fish jerkies. Nothing like tuna! Masaru's tuna jerky I think would do well there! In the meantime, I will keep ordering from Masaru's website~
