Golden bull chips are unreal proper old school chips. Curry sauce is lush aswel. Always full of ppl sitting down. They do specials for oaps. Great place
Looked not too bad at all, you're right about the chips, shame really. Everything else looked spot on. Box always steams everything so soggy batter has to be expected. That fish itself looked great, nice big chunks. From a fellow mackem that was a great vid, nice contrast from you're other vids. Keep up the great work 👍
Love a proper Fish n' Chips myself, 1 of my favourite meals. Fish looked alright tbf, looks like really just the chips were the let down on this one. (My Nan used to work in a chippy (decades ago now), but still knows her stuff) Never had a corned beef patty myself, now I might try one (if I can find a place round here that does 'em) 👍 Hope Mick's alright now. Great vid as ever mate! I love the variations of chippies around the UK. In my home town of Grimsby, as a kid, they started doing deep friend battered pineapple rings! they were a nice kind of "dessert" LOL

I know what youre saying but the best Fish and Chips Ive had, on more than one occasion was a proper Chinee takeaway just on the outskirts of York. Never had better anywhere except for mebbe in Saltburn. Keep up the good work mate. You know it makes sense.
Hi Chris, loving the tour of the area at the start of these videos with a great soundtrack too, very effective & professional. For some reason Hubby & I kept ducking down & lowering our heads whenever you were in the chippy, so as not to be seen by the staff in there, like you do with your camera 😅😅. Those chips didnt even look like chips 😄. How could they get chips so wrong !!!! Love all the Bloopers, thank you for continuing to include them, it is good of you to do that. Hubsticle & i have a daft sense of humour, we were creased up laughing at the reluctant sausage at 31:39. Thank you for another excellent piece of entertainment. Good laugh Chris, these videos are the real deal and you had a good idea in starting them. I was in a Fish shop the other day and a Lad was kicking off, so the owner, a big burly bloke hoyed him out. I looked at the owner and said " You kept your temper well mate, I would have took him out the back and battered him" 😁😁
My first real job was working as an apprentice Chinese cook. I wish I still had all those hand written recipes. The owner also was teaching me WingChun lungfu on the side. This was way back in 1989.🤙

My local chip shop is Shite excuse my French , Its called Smiles of Beaconsfield , used to be really good years ago but now they under new ownership they changed the oil they fry with from Sunflower Oil to Veg Oil and its awful and worst still their prices went up ridiculous.
Now then Chris, fantastic 🎉❤! The chippy that I went to last Friday, in Nth Cave, shall remain nameless! Needless to say, I got caught out!!!!🎣 £8.90 for, chips, small Haddock and Peas! More like a ball off under cooked batter, with Very Little fish!! WOW!😊 Shite man!!! ❤
