that is legit... the original ORIENT THE ORIGINAL Buko Pie... but that store is their Silang tagaytay branch.... the main store is in Los Baños Laguna.... but just the same its the original one

You should visit towns in Laguna like: Pagsanjan for Pagsanjan Falls and restos Lusiana for Lusiana Falls (Hulugan Falls, Aliw Falls, Talay Falls, Hidden Falls) and Pandan Crafts Paete for Wood Crafts and Woodcarving Majayjay for Taytay Falls and Bukal Falls Magdalena for Church and White Water Rafting Liliw for shopping and Resto (specifically Arabela resto) also it's known as The "Tsinelas"(Slippers/Flip Flops) Capital of the Philippines Caliraya for man made lake these towns are near at each other.
I never seen that shop before it has the same brand name but when i was a little kid the original buko shop is located within los baños laguna, im 36 now and still we go to that shop and it always have a long line outside people buying like one person will buy 5 to 6 boxes and it is always within oct 28 to nov 3 we go there to visit the cemetery, so many people. maybe it is the same pie but i have a feeling inside that the original shop in los baños is the very original pie taste, if i have time i can go to other original branches to taste if it is really the same taste as the original in los baños laguna, bec i really have doubts but thats just me ☺️

Also, I hope you will experience the Simbang Gabi (Dawn Masses) which starts December 16 up to December 24 at 4AM. Most churches have it at 4AM, some at 4:30AM. Then after the Mass, eat Puto Bumbong, Bibingka, and hot tea. For your Noche Buena feast (December 24 crossing over to midnight of the 25th), you might want to try the traditional Filipino menu: Fiesta Ham, home-made Hot Choco, fruit salad, Keso de Bola, morcon, hamonado, embotido, and a lot more. Use about a teaspoon of rock salt, dilute it in cup of warm water then gargle each sip until you finish the cup. =) You can do this 3 times a day until you feel better. Also, avoid sweets while you still have the soar throat. =)

Hey! You've tried The Original Buko Pie! I am from Los Baños, Laguna where the main branch is. Although, we usually buy Lety's Buko Pie in LBL. Would be great if you could make a side by side comparison as to which one you prefer. BTW, Lety's Buko Pie has frozen pies for export and for those who want to take them abroad.
Im from mindanao and currently working in oman everytime i always thinking to eat buko pie from laguna soon ill get back in the Philippines!!! Misses Philippines delicacies.
I am from Laguna and I prefer the Letty's brand it is still tasty even if it got cold, you can also buy a frozen version and microwave it when you get back to your apartment

Hi guys me again the other way around going to laguna from BGC going to C5 going to Antipolo city try to explore this way pass by Paiti where the famous wood Carver or wood furniture a few miles at Liliw you will see the famous Wind mill it's still part of Laguna along the way there are some famous local restaurants along the way and also buko pie and this famous UBE HALAYA and this Casava cake so nice. pls try this ATV on pagsanhan falls. Side trip to kaleraya resort this is an island on a mountain need to ride a small boat going there around 10 minutes
Yes you can freeze the Buko pie. I normally freeze a couple before I travel back to London. Then I’ll wrap them with towels and put it in my luggage. As soon as I arrive home in London, I’ll immediately put them in the fridge and they can stay there up to 4 days. By the way, that is not really the Original Buko Pie because the real one can only be found in Los Banos Laguna. A lot of people would claim that their the original buko pie but they’re not.
I also stack my eggs like that. The plastic wrapping will preserve some veggies a few more days than those without. I thought you topped the pie with nutella before you said dark choco, but that would be yummy too.

I’m glad that you enjoyed The Original Buko Pie. The family of my friend owns it. They put up the original store in front of their house along the highway in Loa Baños , Laguna. During the summer in the early 80’s, I would stay at their house and we would always have the buko pie for snacks. Back then, it only costs us around P35.00. They haven’t changed their recipe since then. Until today, we, former students of UPLB still crave for The Original Buko Pie. Thanks, Juicy Blog for your wonderful review 🙂

It's their first time to try "The Original Buko Pie" of Los Baños, Laguna. Unlike us, we know it's the best buko pie of Laguna. Just another checked bucket list for them.
Wow.. "Original Buko" pie is the best. I'm from Laguna and went home there at least once a month. Try the River Rafting in Magdalena Laguna.. It's so affordable. If you want a super cheap adventure.. Go to Taytay Falls in Majayjay Laguna.. It's the town next to Magdalena. The view is breathtaking.. The water is crystal clear and super cold.
Piece of advice (coz I'm from the south) try to use the Skyway or C5 road as much as possible. If you're in or going to Makati use the Don Bosco (Amorsolo) ramp. But if you're going straight to BGC or coming from BGC use the C5 ramp. The entry/exit point is near SM Aura. Avoid EDSA especially the BER months.
Hi! I live in Tagaytay and I just like to share that every buko pie is kind of different even when the stores share the same brand (my fave is a specific Colette's spot). I think the first recipes of this pie originated in Laguna. On the other hand, the sweets or the "pasalubong" are same on most pasalubong stores so it would be nice to find the store that sells the cheapest. I hope these hacks help haha. :)

Love buko pie! Yes you can freeze it and re-heat in your toaster oven. At least that’s how I’m able to buy it here in the U.S. Hopefully next year I can try the fresh ones. ❤️

Try checking S & R there in BGC, it is membership shopping for P800 per head for a principal member. That is one of your options where you can buy your food and even houseware items.
Thats whats nice about bgc. Everything is walking distance (if you appreciate walking and the weather). Whats not good is a lot of people who work there doesnt live there, and a lot of people who live there doesnt work there, hence the heavy traffic

Go to batangas again, u miss the nasugbu beach, fortune island (Greek-style ruins), verde island. And the historic taal town “vigan vibe” with many batangas native foods and some national heroes live in taal historic town, don’t miss the biggest catholic church “taal basilica” beautiful preserve massive structure with many tresures.

You can actually shop fresh produce(that are not wrapped in single use plastic) in the Fiesta Market just outside Market Market. And it's alao inside BGC! :)
