A very popular tourist destination in Laos is Tha Ngon, about 15 miles (24km) north of Vientiane Laos. There are floating restaurants, lunch cruise boats, with music and karaoke and lots of Beer Laos :) We had a great time and especially enjoyed the dancing shrimp plate at Lao Derm restaurant.
