Only Diesel ⛽️ Car is not for travel. It's emotion, it's a fun machine. Why to cut cost? Enjoy every moment with your car. I have diesel nexon 2021 Top end model. Always drive in sport mode with full power. It returns milage around 19-21 kmpl in city highway mix run🫠
Very Nice Expalnation, Already Booked An EV , Now Happy Came To Know , its a good choice in terms of money, And Comfort क्या ही कहने ऑल ऑटोमैटिक Thanks
Good Insights. In case of EV will battery retain its capacity? What if like other devices the battery performance gradually drops? Then range anxiety increases . What if battery charging capacity slows down and discharge time decrease ? Some how we are not able to change our mindset .
I'm going to subscribe to your channel because of this video. Actually I was looking at the Nexon and thinking about the price difference between petrol and CNG. Then, I randomly came across your video on RU-vid. I already knew a bit about it, but you explained it very well, especially with the Nexon car example. ❤
You have not considered resale value which is very important in decision making. Ev will depreciate highly if one has to sell it after 5 years even if running is high.
One Major miss i find in every EV Video- Bro your entire calculation was based on home electricity cost but if a person plans a long drive or does not have sufficient time to charge at home or in any reason charges at charging station so for the 230Km range a person can have to pay 500-600 rupees which significantly increases the cost of per KM and changes the calculation significantly Fair cost per km for ev should be 2.5 per km The fuel cost in 2000 km for EV comes to be 300,000 according to me. At best 2.5 L which makes the EV cost 16.10 L and when compared to CNG in 5yrs without range anxiety 2.3 Lac extra won't be counting Also a major mistake was CNG mileage if a Nexon gives 25 KMpKG on highway and 17 in city so avg would be 20 roughly it also not very fairly estimated. Alongside for highway runners CNG would be better as it would have high yield Also he said that if you're saving 7 lacs in 5yrs so later if you replace battery that won't be a issue but my question is if a person bears range anxiety and stress after that if we are going to pay 5-6 lac for battery pack so what's the whole point of EV ? it's like I spent 15 lac according to you then I sell the car which is supposed to give me at best 5lac being in warranty and buy new ev ? So in 5yrs net net i burnt 10 lacs and have to put a new investment too if I choose to not pay for battery pack and sell in warranty and rather in petrol diesel and CNG the car can go upto 10 yrs without regular maintenance so my investment is getting double in case of EV
You can mentioned resell value of each model and you will find that EV's don't gets good resell price. When you shift to petrol and CNG. You will get good price.
Its a good video to get clarity on which fuel option to choose. But overall if we consider the moderate use like 10-12k per year. Petrol car still make sense as total cost difference wouldn't be so much, plus initial saving & resale value will cover that if considered it for 5-10 years of ownership. I used cng car previously and know the fuel station waiting line to fill cng, also don't think it will change soon considering the speed of cng cars options adding vs fuel stations of cng. And most importantly one should have peace of mind at the end to njoy the driving.🙂
Thanks for making an informationational video. This is quite helpful. However you've missed 2 important points to reveal the whole picture. Let's dive into the details which is the real devil in the story. 1. Resale value comparison between petrol car & EV. 2. Initial investment. For this moment, let's focus on the initial investment and compare between petrol car & EV. Consider, I purchased a petrol car instead of an EV and saved 3 lakh rupees upfront and driven 30K KMs in 5 years. Per your example, the total cost difference between petrol car and EV are more or less the same, which stands at 13.64L for petrol car and 13.93L for EV. While this sounds sane, the ignored point is the 3L rupees saved upfront. Investing that 3L at an 8% moderate retun would fetch 4.45L Rs in 5 years. Now considering this point let's do the math. 1. Total cost of petrol car after 5 years of driving 30k kms: 13.64L - 4.45L= 9.19L 2. Total cost of EV after 5 years of driving 30k kms: 13.93L 3. Conclusion: EV is expensive by 4.74L. Let me know your thoughts. Would love to hear your and audience perspective. TIA!
Nice explanation! I want to add few things in it. You have considered 30K in 5 year which is 500 a month! This will work for those people who doesn't drive car much. Just family trips or nearby places. But practically why did they buy car if they don't want to run it that is also waste of money. they could have managed via cabs as those fin influencers says. Like you they also advocate invest remaining money in this or that. The fact is how many people buy car in cash? Marginal. Most of people take car loans. How they are supposed to invest if they are buying car on loan. Now comes to pricing. I'll give you example the top model of tata nexon ev petrol 17 lakhs in my city, the ev top model costs 17 lakh. Because they have significantly reduced the price of EV. Similar case is with Tiago. In future most of comapny will have similar pricing for ICE and EV varients. If you have solar there is no running cost for EV. Even if you charge it at home it will cost 70 paisa to 1.5 rupees per kilometer depending on state. If you charge it outside it will cost you around 3.5 rupees per kilometer. Even a Royal Enfield runs at 3-3.5 rupees per KM. car is always safer than motorcycle. So my take is if you have a good running of vehicle than go for EV. You should go for ICE engines if you are living in remote areas where brand services are not good. For tier 1 and tier 2 cities EVs are better. I have ICE engine and EV both so I shared what I feel.
same question mera bhi yahi tha ....but I choose brezza cng LXI...kyuki future m running jyda ho skti plus cng cost bhi 100 ke lagbhag increase hogi and petrol goes to 150 .... safe side per chalo resalue bhi future m achi milegi cng ki
@@amitdhakad7094 na yeh galti mat karna inka 1.2 litr engine reliable nhi h aur abhi ki Nexon cng bhi mat lena woh turbo engine ke sath aai h toh uski reliability bhi kisi ko nhi pta .....aur aapko pta h long term m turbo engine ki reliability kaam hoti NA engine ke comparison m... agar aapko future m bahar se cng lagwane m koi problem nhi h toh aap creta/seltos ka base model lelo aur inme lagwa lena inka engine bahut mast aur budget tight h toh brezza LXI urbano kit wala variant le lo sabse best rhega
Now you make sense... Gagan Chaudhary ne ghatiya calculation ki thi... My teacher own e2o mahindra till date and had little to no issues, goes 100km in single charge... In remote areas where to get fuel ⛽ one need to travel up down 30km, evs make good sense (yes, such areas are present, big land owners having big farm and earn in big cash) If OPEC countries increase oil barrel price only ev owner will be facing little inflation atleast on transport.. So other auto influencers (though they called themself auto journalist) unnecessarily making buying decisions complicated... If you find this point true then you can add this to your next video...
1. Agar abhi apke pass car hai toh usko becho mat use it atleast next 5 yrs. So that picture will be more clear. 2. Agar aap new car le rhe ho buy it in next year. Fronx with 35 kmpl mileage is coming in first quarter itself. 3. Let the big players like Maruti-Suzuki and Hyundai/Kia come in to race of EV. Don't go for substandard products of Tata.
Same here. I am using grand 1 10 for last 6.5 yrs. Major koi prob nahi hain except for mileage. Waiting for hybrid at lower cost engines. Let's see how it shapes up .
Nice explanation! I think you missed mentioning that the entire battery isn't replaced, only the degraded cells. So, the cost of replacing the battery is significantly lower.
But how's that possible that only few cell will degrade , bcz every cell is recharging and discharging , in this scenario are cells must be degrade , it will remain a question until someone completes the full 8 years and go for batter change ........
@@vinaysiwach9734 Agreed to your point. However, typically, LFP batteries have a lifecycle of 1500-2500 cycles. One cycle means charging from 0% to 100%, and charging from 50% to 100% is considered half a cycle. If you charge from 60% to 100% and then from 40% to 100%, this is considered one cycle. Assuming a lifecycle of 1500 cycles and a car range of 300 km, the battery would start degrading after approximately 450,000 km. Degradation doesn't mean the car suddenly becomes undriveable. Instead, you might experience a reduced range, perhaps 270-280 km, compared to the original 300 km. As you know, car battery technology differs significantly from smartphone battery technology. By the time the battery starts to degrade, we would have already saved a substantial amount on running costs. I know a Nexon EV owner who has driven over 200,000 km and a Tesla owner in the US who has driven over 300,000-400,000 km. The battery issues we see on social media are primarily reliability issues, not fundamental problems with battery technology itself.
It's not so straight forward. Sometimes we change jobs, so 500 run will turn into 2k soon. It's dynamic in nature. Best is to go with most mileage owing to unpredictability
I am from Kolkata. Yaha par CNG stations bahut kam hain . I am presently driving grand i 10 for last 6 .5 yrs. Gari mast hain. Par abhi decise nahi kar pa raha hoo exchange karkay kya loo.
Bhai Car loan interest rate calculation missing hai. Ev 3 lakh jayada hai . Max people down payment 3-4 lah karta hai. Baki 7 lakh emi . Ev ka or 2 lakh extra Dena padega interest.
Additional Concepts: EV sirf Ghar pr charge krne ka 12 rs...bahr charge krne ka avg 30rs per unit hai kisi charging station ka EV ki battery 1 lakh Km tak atey atey 30% efficiency pr aa gyi thi Nexon ki. EV charging fossil fuel consumption pr hoti hai 75%..either from thermal power plant which consumes coal or from diesel generators...only 25% is from natural resources. My Verdict: 500km ho ya 2000km monthly...CNG is the best choice.
If it comes down to 30% efficiency, u have warranty na, TATA will replace it without any additional cost, And as per latest government report 45% power production from renewable energy like solar wind hydro, it is going to increase to 55% in next 3-4 years.
For me, Nexon EV makes sense, q ki city running 80% rhegi. Automatic h, so compare to AMT se hi krunga. 1000 km tk running kr hi lunga, bike b km chlegi. Karnataka me price difference km h.
How many company fitted CNG car are blasting now ? We should not think about this type of nonsense thought. They are even safe as equivalent to petrol.
