Binge plus box have clowd recording facilities can record 20 programs at a time.Its a unique feature and can’t find in any other android boxes. .Another advantage of the box is that when satellite signal goes during heavy rains box automatically switch channels to internet streaming tv (Tataplay catch up tv)and can continue watching the channel with out any disturbance .

Does it work under different weather conditions windy cloudy or rainy since we had 3 connection in the past we replace one because of monkey jumping on the flying soccer so every time maintainnce charges . Actually we have 4 connection requirement now.may be 2 3 more in the neighborhood so what is discount offer going on on this box? Number 2 compare with airtel and jio it's performance which really matters

I am surprised how you liked the onscreen GUI. It is so cluttered that they threw everything on one screen and say new menu. Not good at all. If you have not noticed, favourites button is removed from the remote. The live tv favourites is now buried deep inside the menu. Either you have remember the channel number or dive deep inside the menu and access favourites. The remote shape is also huge and ugly instead of sleek. The set top box is also not without bugs. Travel XP 4K channel stutters and buffers like hell. Crashes some times. Menu response is some times slow.

Sir very informative video and thank you for clearing all doubts. Some questions. 1. if I don't recharge for ott of 299,. (a)will i be able to use RU-vid and other free apps using wifi. (b). Will i be able to use Chromecast and Bluetooth feature . 2. I view tv everyday for 1-2 hour only. Is it good option to use on mobile hotspot. I have lot of data left everyday. Will it affect quality. 3. My tv is not 4k. But it is mentioned on tata play website that set top box is 4k. Will i get 4k quality for normal channels and ott apps both.

RU-vid is free. although i don't know what would happen if you don't recharge live tv subscription (in my household we always recharge early). casting videos to tv from RU-vid app on phone works fine. don't worry about 4k, works fine on an hd tv.. most live channels are not even full HD let alone 4k 😂 not the box's fault. But the box is very slow.

I liked your video with minute detailing. It is useful for non-smartTV. But when you have an smart Tv with Smart remote(voice assistant) then their is practically no need of any Set-top box. All we need is OTT app yearly subscriptions with active wifi(internet).

Live tv work with or without net? Does it require a dish? What are the monthly plans? If it supports Dolby Atmos then why does it mention only Dolby? Which resolution is supported on live TV?

i have it. live tv works without net.. it'll work through internet if your dish is blocked by clouds. so technically if you unplug it from the dish it'll work, i haven't yet kept it unplugged for prolonged periods of time though. plans are same for live tv. BUT the box is sluggish & has terrible UI.. live tv is just an app that works on top of android tv, so even the live tv interface is sluggish at times.. it's not worth it in my opinion. better to stick with the old HD set top box & buy something like a firetv stick for streaming needs.

I use the same box with Samsung Frame Tv. Although my internet speed is 80 mbps still while playing HD OTT contents from Tata play binge box, the video isn’t smooth, seems like the frame drops are persistent. How can I eliminate this problem? (When I’m playing videos from OTT app of my TV, it plays smoothly.)

Since upgrade to TATA Play software, this set top box became very slow and hangs every now and then. You keep on pressing the buttons on the remote and it doesn’t respond. Suddenly it starts responding to the remote clicks and goes on and on inside the home screen menu. I lost my lot of balance because the clicks it responded later ultimately subscribed to unnecessary channels and subscription. Don’t buy this, better go for earlier set top box.

You can setup favourite channels. But they removed Favourite channels button from the remote. It is now buried deep inside the menu.

Tata sky gives 1 month App subscription free.. One question comes in my mind as well as lots of other peoples that ""If I didn't extend my Ott App Subscription recharge, then still can i use the other free Android apps on set top box?? Like RU-vid and Facebook, Twitter and all etc..???"" Because Tata sky told me that if you didn't recharge for OTT apps.. then Android box did not work.. you can use only for watching Normal TV.. All apps will work , suppose you have separate prime video or hotstar subscription you can use it in that particular app but normal dth recharge is necessary , minimum balance is required to use the box .

trust me. this box is very sluggish compared to a firetv stick. even live tv UI is slow compared to old hd set top boxes. you made the right decision.
