I really don't think so, take a look at the rest of the world's iron and steel production. And THAT'S not accomplished by melting scrap in an electric arc furnace!! 2,022 World Steel Production = 1.9 billion tons. By country. China 1,000 million. India 140 million. Japan 86 million. USA 80 million Russia 75 million. South Korea 66 million. UK = 6 million. { Vietnam 19 million. Mexico 16 million. Egypt 10 million. } Reference China, India, Japan et. al. You'd need quite a large amount of scrap for that tonnage!!
