Love this kind of user review not biased at all very specific. I'm sure the 2 Brother blog is highly capable of crossing 160000 km much before the given warranty time of 8 years. So the viewers will soon get to know how much life Tata EV cars have. Do document everything about this car because the future is electric and people are sceptical about it. Give close watch on battery depletion every year. Some studies say battery loses its capacity by about 40% within 8 to 10 years. I hope you guys reach that 16000 kms much before that given time of 8 years. Eagerly waiting fingers crossed 🤞 for the results 😊
Slow 3.2KW charger has a benefit, it will resume charging in case of a power interruption. There is no authentication requirements for slow charger. I have tested it once by switching off the MCB. Also I was expecting you to mention about the regenerative modes. In traffic condition its a relief, it act as brake (up to crawling mode). the deceleration is very smooth.
You guys have a dream garage. You own every kind of bike that exists. Almost all kind of cars including an EV. Do you have any plans to get a luxury car, like a Merc, Audi or a BMW.
1:34 i guess u can get it from anywhere without voiding warranty. it would be handle like to hold which we see in economy plane seats. but still its comfortable
Its good you use solar for EV, that setup really makes more sense to have EVs at home. The Taigo battery still costs around 4.5L, if deducted from the total cost of car. The per km cost, just for battery will be 450000(approximate cost of battery for long range model) / 160000(warranty) = 2.81 Rs/KM So ~2.8+ charging cost, will be total I usually considers. 😅
Hi @Two Brothers - would you say the XT variant is really value-for-money? Some users on RU-vid have spoken about the 4 doors and the dickey door always needing a BANG to close! There is no spare tire? Even you have shown a misplaced screw or nut!! Does it mean a regular schedule of visits to the nearby TATA workshop? Lastly, many users have opined about the constant rattle in the dash and the doors on badder roads and surfaces like the rumble strips...? Are these things true? Would you recommend a car like this to someone who can easily develop anxiety even if the smaller things in the vehicle seem out of place?
even i own a tiago.ev top model, the problems I’m facing is hearing the dashboard or the door plastic sounds while im going on the white stripes on road and the arm rest is missing. the good one is i got range of 230 which is great, even i became full on taxi driver brothers! 3 weeks lo 2200 tirigina 😂🙂
5:18 , that can be adjusted by service centre or go to the orange Tata stock yard in moulali , they can adjust too as all the new cars fittings are done there . But service centre is more than enough. Cheers 🥂
Bro, I have installed an after market center arm rest for my Tiago EV, you can try purchasing one(also available online, very easy to install ), it is highly recommend.
2:18 Bro I am little surprised by what you said over there, that "when you brake and accelarate at the same time" according to me its wrong to even try something like this. My basics are nowadays you get hill hold assist earlier it wasnt there and I agree that the car must be rolling back a little bit but all you have to do is use the "Handbrake to manually tackle the hill roll back situation thats what I do with my style of driving...but I am still not getting how to brake and accelarate at the same time and never use the left foot in Automatic cars never A BIG NO...its only for manual cars. I might be wrong but as far as my knowledge that what I do and it helps me. PROUD of you both for using an EV...Go GREEN go ELECTRIC💚 and always TATA and Mahindra...Be Indian buy Indian. ABSOLUTELY Proud of you both!!
We too have this top variant, and everything you said is true! Great review !!! About the charging issue, thats only the case for 7.2 kw charger. Charging is resumed as soon as power supply is available on slow charger of 3.3 kw.
15:10 - This is not the case with the old 3.3 kW charger. There is no NFC system in it. The charging automatically resumes once the electricity is back.
Thanks, rocking review. Few issues of bother The soul of the car is its battery. Wished you went a bit beyond the obvious and what is stated by the vendors, as you guys were so good in the review How many times can the battery be re charged?? To assess the life span of the battery so to say... What is the ideal ratio between slow charge and fast charge?? That would give a practical utility range for the car... Is over Rs 50000 cost for the 7.2 Kw chrger value for money over the 3.3 kw charger. Choosing between 4 hours and six hours charging time is comparing between very slow and very very slow...😢 Most important is what is the meaning of Battery warranty for 8 years?? If the battery starts giving 150 kms after two years, will the battery be exchanged?? Warranty clause needs elaboration... Any views on these please , anybody???
You forgot to mention the space it would require to have the charging dock installed…think of people from congested areas? Moreover, there is always a chance of someone destroying the charging dock in case of societal compounds or other colonies. I think having a replaceable battery or a battery that can be taken out for charging purposes should solve this problem.
Have done 8000 kms in my tiago ev running in hilly terrain only. I get on average 250 kms on a full charge without AC. Ev's are perfect for hills. On very steep slope you use Sports mode and no problem, it will not roll back . I have been driving in hilly terrain for 30 years now and the tiago ev is perfect for very steep hilly terrain.
Bro stop lying ! Hilly region with sports mode and still 250 kms range? I have seen 120-130 on sports mode and 150 on normal. Are you a Tata sales representative?
@@leechgod27 if you don't believe , then theirs nothing i can do . I travel to my village which is 85 kms x 2 = 170 kms every week and my tiago ev consumes 64-65 % battery [ without AC], speed around 50-65 km/hr becoz in Meghalaya [ 5500 feet above sea level] , we don't need AC. From Shillong to Guwahati 95 kms × 2 = 190 kms , it consumes 75 % battery . Guwahati is about 160 feet above sea level. You don't need to use sports mode even in hilly road , normal mode is more than sufficient .
@@iftheqhar I go to my village once a week in my tiago ev. It consumes 65% battery for 170 kms in hilly terrain,This is consistent except when i use to heat the cabin because here the day time temperature is about 12-13 degree Celsius, night is even colder, so battery consumption is more. In plain flat road , you will easily get 280-300 kms if you drive below 65 km/hr i.e without ac .... note:- Don't drive an ev like u drive an ICE car , it takes to getting use , once you get the hang of it , then the car will give you good range.
The battery is placed quite low at the rear trading off with ground clearance. Battery being critical components, TATA should redesign for better battery locations instead of using same chassis as Engine models, cutting the cost.
Yes we thought about it aswell.. 1) we purchased this well before the comet was launched 2) this can still carry 4ppl in comfort which might be a little difficult in the comet. 3) even the comet is a good option for rhe city
Hi bro's.....na daily travel range 120kms tiago ev theesukundham anukuntunna THEESUKOVACHA? and which model is best THEESUKUNTE i mean BASIC or MID or TOP
Great video. But I personally think the 4 year breakeven time is too much plus the battery capacity might also go down over the years and you might have to change the battery as well in 7-8 years. Got to take everything into consideration..
4-year break even? WTF are you talking about? What are you comparing against? I hope not the Tiago Petrol!!! Compare this car with a car of similar driving experience! You would need to compare it with a AT Torque convertor with a 1.2L Turbocharged engine (12 - 14L Minimum) at the minimum, even then the smoothness of drive and pickup still wouldn't compare! This is a great deal for a city commute car (if its your second or third car)! The break-even is 0 years. My wife and I live in Bangalore and my wifes commute is 45KM round trip and my daily commute is is 100KM round trip, she drives a tiago.ev and I drive a tigor.ev. Thats 95% of our travel. What about outstation travels? We borrow from friends and family who are more than happy to exchange their gas guzzler SUV's (which is permanently parked in their driveway because its too expensive to drive 🤣 ) for a few days for our ev.
@@mufaddalrangwala2906 Well for city driving you definitely do not need any torque converter power.. You could buy a ICE tata Tiago for 6 lakh and use the remaining 4-5 lakhs for the petrol cost over the years. And yes not everyone is rich enough to have 2-3 cars at home or borrow from a friend. I have friend with Nexon ev, once he was stuck on highway at night due to battery dieing.. was almost robbed that day. He sold the ev later. Definitely not buying these ev's until range and infrastructure improves.
Anna solar panels , cost , installation , power charges video chesthara , leka nanne mi intiki occhi cheskomantara🤓🤓 , been ages i was asking for that video , please do it for me.
Those were done 8yrs ago ...way before this channel.. the prices and technology are better now and way different to what it was then ... won't be relevant in current times buddy ..
actually now my tiago Ev 2024 has driven 2450 km within 2 months and unfortunately there is a bad quality in the fuel cap since it is made of thin metal and it does not closes
How do us apartment dwellers charge? It is very difficult to rely solely on work/public charging at least at this point. I would 100% use an EV if apartment charging can be solved and become more commonplace.
Ev vehicles have better in warranty period. but warranty period after complaints came battery coast heavy. and we will decide the selling ev vehicle not resale value of the ev vehicle
As of now buying small ev vehicles is OK or profitable only if you use it heavily in the city, plus if your usage is only city, you can also buy if you have secondary car. Regarding value for money since warranty is only 8 years compared to a elevate which starts from 13lakhs and 15years of fitness certificate the value between is in comparable
Hello, What is your opinion about buying a Tata Tiago EV or upcoming EVs in 2024 starting and Middle. I have seen many reviews about the Tiago EV. Some mention that when driving in the rain or through waterlogged areas, the car suddenly stops due to water getting inside the car. Is it a good option to buy an EV now? I am taking a loan for this purpose, and with the rising petrol prices, it makes sense to consider an EV to save on fuel costs, which can be used to pay the EMI. I am buying the car for family purposes, and we don't do long rides daily. I work out of town and come home only on weekends, and I might use the car or two-wheeler. We need to visit family members once a month, and the distance is around 75 km one way, so 150 km in total. The rest of the time, the car will be in the garage, and we would use it only in rare cases like for hospital visits, shopping, or urgent matters. So, what is your opinion? Should I go for an EV? I am particularly concerned about the Tiago EV's issues related to driving in rainy conditions and through waterlogged areas. Previously decided to buy taigo and move to punch and move to Altroz but petrol cost and EMI cost would be little trouble so at that time EV in my mind but due to these issues makes me convert to petrol.. I'm looking for AMT variant with safety features under 12lak. But now I'm thinking back about EVs. Should i go for EV or Petrol ? Any suggestions from your side ?
Well you can wait for punch ev which was going to launch in early 2024 Punch has high ground clearance compared to tiago so there will be no problem with water and pot holes And the battery and motor also IP65 rated so don't worry about that
I travel between rjy to kakinada 150kms in total like every alternate day for work and considering this as an option to buy….my only fear is can I survive on a full charge and return home safe…help me out bro…new to EV’s
Bro theesukunnara e.v? I'm planning to buy Punch e.v this month. The road between RJY and KKD is pathetic. Will it be a good step?@@viswanathdinavahi6089
Hey guys Thanks for the vlog I have recently purchased a tiago.ev and I'm having fun riding this car everyday to office I am facing issues with the cruise control Don't know sometimes when I switch on the "CRUISE" an error pops up "Cruise Selection Not Possible" and ill be not be able to access cruise control during the journey Any idea how to rectify this Thanks in advance
I don't see any unreasonable wishes for the car which we have ... it's a great value at the end of the day... there is never an answer for enduk... there is always pushing boundaries and always scope of improvement
a salesman explained me - A smartphone warranty of 1 year, runs for 5 years.... 😅 hence we offer 8 yrs so will run more than 10 yrs.. also only defected cells need to replace in battery pack, not the whole battery!!! is it true???? should I trust????😅😅😅
