I am sure the Tatra would rip the maz very hard with its 3 gears & atleast 7-8t more weight ^^ But sadly there are like two or three at all in Germany. So maybe one day :)

The green truck smokes like it's on fire. So much soot will destroy the engine if problem not fixed. Try changing the air filter. If it still smokes, call for a mechanic to help.
Thats not an engine problem. This is wanted to get the max torque in some situations. The 813 has a lever that has the only purpose to set the fuel pump on "maximum fuel delivery"
@@StriKerMilitaryVehicles I see, but isn't that the cold start function? I don't think it's initially meant to be used as a power boost. But I may be wrong, don't know those Tatra machines. But I would like to, they are impressive! However, too much soot will cause damage to the engine. Polluted engine oil, clogged oil filter, bad lubrication, burned valves etc.
@@gaspdahl1 Not really you have a separete lever for that + the "normal" idle lever. The red one is mine and the green one is of my friend. Inside the GDR Army explanation book that is ecactly said. There are many videos online showing that. But I guess the "real" purpose" is ofc to prevent a down shift while towing pretty heavy equipment
@@StriKerMilitaryVehicles Thank you for explaining! Now I understand! 👍 And I believe that the 930(?) V12 is "over-dimensioned" and well-built, so it can handle some extra combustion heat temporarily without cracking pistons and burning exhaust valves, unlike abused old tractors did when constantly exceeding the limit by running cold start mode for heavy load. Poor engines. The chimney pipe was glowing red and on top of it a red tongue was showing.
@@gaspdahl1 I wouldn't call the T 930-31 over dimensioned from a "performance" point of view. But of course you have to take into account that the 813 is now over 50 years old. Back in the day the vehicle itself was incredible. But if you compare it now to the Bi Turbo Tatra 815 the difference is enormous. In the end the engine uses the same base with way more power. So yes I guess you could call it quite robust and not as "complicated" as the rest of this vehicle with the Central tube frame stuff etc. There are also some "old" 930 engines in Truck Trial which where converted into a turbo and they seem to hold also
