In honor of Allen Ludden's 100th Birthday (October 6, 1917), here is a clips video I put together of Tattletales with Allen and Betty's best. Hosted by Bert Convy.
I just read a little article about Betty’s last few weeks. (Forgive me if you have already read this somewhere) Her assistant/friend talked about how they played gin rummy a few times over those last weeks and that Betty still had her wit and Betty even beat her in the last game they played. She was also there with her in her final moments and said that her last word was “Allen.” I don’t know if it’s true of course but I’d really love to think so. It made me cry when I read that. Her heart, humor and intelligence was and is inspiring and she had a way of planting a seed of hope in people’s heart didn’t she?
@@historicalcucumber before I got married, I our marriage could have better success, if the ex wife/mother of children, was gone Not throwing a ton of misery. I wouldn't want the man or children to suffer grief, but I would honor her. She set up the family and probably changed the man to a married man. Imagine Betty's hugs? Many of my widowed friends, have photos up of the first spouse/children's father. Their vow wasn't broken with nastiness, it was part of life that is crushing, but the mate still lives on. They deserve to have new experiences and love, if they choose.
R.I.P. Betty White ~ What a shock that she passed away today (12/31/2021) at the age of 99. Only weeks from celebrating her 100th birthday! Not only Betty was our National Treasure, she was a GLOBAL TREASURE. She blessed us all with her quick humor and her rememberable characters. May she make all the angels and God laugh thunderously and smile brightly in Heaven.
@@savannahleblanc4929 assuming there was an afterlife of some sort, that would be between the three of them and no one else. I'd like to think they worked something out, so that everyone was happy with the arrangement. Who knows, maybe his first wife even moved on to someone else after she passed, since Allen moved on with Betty back on Earth. And Margaret would have had nearly 20 years to spend on her own in the afterlife before Allen died.
I read an interview today which said that Betty's assistant was with her when she passed. And according to her assistant, the last thing Betty said was Allen's name. Not gonna lie, I teared up over that. Glad they're together again!
This complication warms my heart! The only consolation in losing Betty White this week us that she was reunited with her beloved husband. RIP darling Betty! ❤💔❤
Betty and Alan were such a great couple. They did so well on the game shows. They knew each other so well and were a beautiful couple. ❤️🌹❤️ I love them.
It's not that unusual, you know. I've been very good friends with my ex's now wife, for many years. And with my ex, as well! Two very nice people. And why on earth would? she say something bad about Allen's first wife?? I never understood this. There is no rule that everyone has to hate everyone else in the past. It also makes it much easier on our kids. They always appreciated the calm among us all. Try it folks. 😌😉
It's good to see Bert Convy on this. Tattletales was a great game show, considered to be rather "provocative " in its day. Bert only lived to 58, he died of brain cancer.😢
@@terracottaneemtree6697 AGREE, on all points. They kept me in hospital for 7 days in 2008. The found out who my dad was (politics). After major surgery, i was dying. They suddenly claimed that they "didnt have my blood type." There was only one nurse who stuck with me. The nurse called distant family. I was losing blood pressure; in and out of the tunnel. Why did this happen?...because they found out who my dad was. People are too trusting😞
@@terracottaneemtree6697 They kept me in hospital for 7 days in 2008. After major surgery, i had lost too much blood. They suddenly claimed that they "didn't have my blood type." One nurse stuck with me. She called distant family. I was losing blood pressure; in and out of the tunnel. They didn't want to save me. Thankfully, i had kids I loved ...and the nurse wasn't letting me leave. It was like being ripped apart. People are too trusting😞
Betty stayed with the jokes 🤣 Beautiful lady inside and out. She and her husband were a perfect pair. And they made it happen again eternally. Soar high Betty and Allen #togetheragain 🕊️🕊️
That was adorable to watch Betty and Allen tell the exact same thing about "bargain" shopping, but to be dead wrong, because each took the context of the question differently. And the one with the hair bonnet. Even the jokes they made about it were identical.
God bless her. Bless both of them. Such a trusting and genuinely affectionate couple. She visited my grandma in the hospital once, and of course in my grandpa’s dementia he hit on her (in an innocent sort of way), and he just loved it and she was a doll. She had just happened to be in the same city that day and impulsively decided to visit folks at the hospital to brighten their day. What a doll.
I remember all these wonderful game shows Betty and Allen were on, they were truly a match made in heaven. She's with her love again, and the 4 Golden Girls are having a reunion. Thank you Betty White for so very many years of your wit, your beautiful smile and great sense of humor. And all the animals that owe their lives to you!! RIP ♥️
The relationship between Allen and Betty was just amazing. Allen was such a gracious, awesome, down-to-earth type of personality, that I hope to emulate. Plus an awesome game show host of one of the most iconic game shows of all time. Allen Ludden made “Password” and it was just amazing. Sorry we lost him to cancer, just before him and Betty would’ve celebrated their 18th Anniversary.
They were a wonderful couple. Should have had many more years together. So sorry he died so soon after they were married. They were delightful. Very special people
That’s right...they were just days away from it. How hard that anniversary must’ve been for her. Instead of celebrating, there was his funeral. Very sad.
Betty has such an innocents about her...such a beautiful lady and I will miss her much...Allen Ludden was such a handsome man and love that deep voice...
Betty was once asked what’s the secret to a happy marriage…she replied “ marry Allen Ludden “. * smile through tears* bless them..they’re together again. 💜
Thank you for the compilation. I've become a huge fan of Allen Ludden's. I've always loved Betty, but really, recently Allen has just fascinated me. What a wonderful man he was.
She’s very quick and witty! I will always love and miss this funny and beautiful woman, but I’m sooo happy she’s with the love of her life again! May Betty and Allen, Rest In Peace, together!! ❤️❤️❤️
Betty and Allen are such a great couple! It is sad that she is gone💔 but I know that they will now spend eternity together.💕 Rest in Peace Sweet Betty!💗
I've watched Betty for 50+ years in many different shows and game shows and always enjoyed her talent and her angelic smile ! She will be so missed here on earth but God must have needed her more in heaven. I'm so happy she and Allan are together again dancing in the streets of gold! Rest in peace sweet beautiful Betty. 🙏🏻🥰🙏🏻🥰🙏🏻🥰🙏🏻
Betty & Allen are together once again! I loved both so much together. I feel she loved him until the end of her journey here. I truly believe their beautiful love has brought them together. I try to say I'm happy they're together but I'll miss her terribly. Thank goodness for TV, RU-vid, etc. I love you, Betty! 😘
"would you go all the way with a four?" "i would not, i don't know what you're gonna do, i'm gonna go to sleep!" "since when?" these two were so damn hilarious! RIP Allen & Betty, rest well together. thanks for all the laughs then and all these years later!
Just found this video yesterday. Thank you so much for posting this in honor of Allen Ludden's 100th Birthday. So many of his "Password" episodes have been lost so it is just wonderful that you posted this to RU-vid!!!
I miss Tattltales. It would always be broadcast during my high school classes. By the time I got home, it had ended. We are losing all of our great entertainers. We just lost Mr. Sidney Poitier. I miss Mrs. White's talent, presence, and all the great people I grew up watching. They can never be replaced.
Betty and Allen really knew each other. And you can see the love. Beautiful. Betty and Allen are together again. I loved the Angus bull story and her love of animals.
In God's hands now, in our hearts always, Betty and Allen together again. Charming, talented, funny, they both brought us years of entertainment... Allen not nearly long enough... and will never be forgotten.
Betty and Allen were an adorable and hysterically funny couple. I can only imagine the hours of laughter that would have been enjoyed and shared among any couples charmed enough to be their friends. At least this gives me a clue. ❤️
This news of Betty Whites death hit me like it did when John Lennon died/was killed. Betty was always funny and charismatic, her personality just sparkled every time you saw her. Her love of dogs is easy to understand, as I’ve always loved dogs very much myself. She was just a treasure and very very loved by most Americans. What a shame to have lost her…one person I wished could have lived well into and past 100.
Though I have already searched for and watched every Betty and Allen episode, I love them so much that I'm watching and enjoying them again. Thanks for posting a compilation of them! 😍😻
sorry to be so off topic but does anybody know a tool to get back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly lost the password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me!
One of my favorite actress. Betty - I believe Allen was there in her final minutes on earth. Her husband was there to help her crossover.. Love them both.
my goodness, no wonder she couldnt wait to be with him again....that kind of love....The bonnet, :) my favorite.... and tears through laughter another favorite.
I think Alan and Betty are together in heaven because of the love that flows between them. It is the forever love and I am sure Betty is a very happy lady in heaven. And Alan Will be just as happy to see Betty again🙏👍🏻
Bert Convy is one handsome man WOW!...mind you he is in his 50's here...Very, Very, good looking, handsome and debonair. He is what you call a (Fox)...hot older men are called Fox something🤷♂️ Men really new how to dress and look good. And The beautiful Betty White look so gorgeous and classy. @@ValleyoftheRogue Oh yeah you're right...because he died at age 57 in 1991, so he had to be in his early to mid 40's here. He was 34 years old in 1968....he was in his early 40's. Mybad I didn't do the math, merely assumed.
