I unironicly love tramp stamps. They are absolutly a marker of time, of who you were at that time in history. My mom has one and I love it about her. She was in her late teens and early twenties on the cusp of centuries, a metalhead with a tattoo artist as a partner. It's truly endearing.

I think fawns black and gray tattoo actually looks better with the negative space leaves, they really stand out and look nice to me

my ex wife and i have matching tattoos, and it doesnt bother me too much. i feel like tattoos should tell your story. failed relationships are unfortunatley a part of that storey. feels superficial covering it up

Team Croc did really well basing their tattoo on this guy's pain level but I also really liked team Leopard's tattoo as well

No one understands a motorhead pinup tattoo?? Ffs pinups originated around fighter pilots in WWII holding wrenches and riveters! Even I know what an impact wrench is! I had this thing all in my mind, badass with the air hose wrapped around her chest like the guy wanted, and I'm an old lady. Come on guys!

I hate what Christian was saying about Jesse. Making him nervous isn't gonna help. Just slows him down more. Should have just let him do his job rather than harassing him while he's trying to get the color in. Even James saying there doesn't need to be color, just shading and the outline pisses me off

one thing ive noticed from this show is apparently every tattoo is "challenging". it amazes me that tattoo artist competing always bitch about how hard every single tattoo is.

Tommy shining during a coverup is a no brainer! He is one of the best coverup artists of all time and so many of his coverups have aged like fine wine. I love him, he is so talented, so kind, and most of all he loves the art and recognizing other artists. Anytime an artist can say “I know this is a competition, but there is incredible talent here” is an artist that I trust off the bat because they are secure enough in their talent to recognize someone else’s. Other amazing examples on this show are: -The women of the peck vs nunez season (Gia, Nikki, Kelly Doty, and Ryan Ashley specifically) -Laura Marie, Dani, and creepy Jason from the men’s vs women’s season -Cleen Rock One in every season he is in -Tiffer, Teej, and Tony from the grudge match coaching season -almost every shop from the master shop season -Steve and Jesse and their opposites attract bromance (like no bitterness whatsoever and they cheered each other on) -Halo (hear me out: every time he “screwed someone over” it was not so that they would go home, it was so they wouldn’t win that challenge because he knew they were so talented and he was always happy to eat his words when they proved him wrong) -Sausage, Anthony, Jimme Litwalk and James Vaughn on all of their seasons -jimmy snaz on both his seasons I am sure I am forgetting some but these ones stick out in my mind

This reminds me how much I disliked the attitude of Josh

Canvasses who come in, demanding what they want, no compromise and so arrogant, I detest with a passion. They are there because they want a tattoo for nothing, they are not paying yet they want some huge extravagant piece that cannot physically be done in the time frame, refuse to listen to the experts regarding the time constraints as though they know more. Plus they are often the ones who sook because of the pain. NOTE TO CANVASSES: Be grateful, be nice, be humble and don’t be an arrogant jerk! You are getting all of this work done for nothing and you will end up with an amazing tattoo because your artist is working his/her butt off for you. And remember your manners!!!

Ryan Ashley acting like she knows black and grey is funny . She knows fine line and half that has shakey work. And i could do its too if thats all i basically did . Plus supporting magic ink , that doesnt work on dark skin tones and is basically watered down food coloring is crazyyyy
